I know nothing about Iron Fist but I'll watch. I just finished Luke Cage not too long ago.

I know nothing about any of these characters but I still watch. Cautiously optimistic about the Defenders at the minute. I just hope they manage to keep it coherent and don't try to cram too many plot lines in

I trust Netflix, all their Marvel shows have been good so far and I think they will keep up the good work. I'm really looking forward to the Defenders, they have been working towards this show for years, I'm sure they'll make it great.

I'm not sure if this news belongs here or television but Iwan Rheon was cast as one of the leads for Marvel's Inhumans television show.

finished ep 1 of luke cage. the weakest part of the show is luke cage himself. really into the mob boss and the councilwoman, and i like the detective lady, but luke himself is bland af. mike colter is the weak link, acting wise.

Ah, picking the best characters there I see (So many gifs I wanted to use but they were spoilers...) Also, Misty Knight... Actually the ladies were the best part of Luke Cage for me

The reviews for Iron Fist are savage. Hopefully it picks up in the later episodes. If all six episodes are getting bad reviews, it doesn't speak very well about the series direction. Sad too, because the Netflix marvel series so far have been great. Hopefully it's just over zealous critics and the show is just not as good as the other series, but not that bad. Then again, I'll watch it regardless.

The reviews for Iron Fist are savage. Hopefully it picks up in the later episodes. They are, and I feel bad for Finn Jones he got into it on twitter because he retweeted Riz Ahmed's talk on diversity in entertainment and someone came at him about being cast as Iron Fist and they felt the character should be Asian American. Finn was trying to supportive of the show saying there are really great characters who are diverse and it did not go over well and he briefly left twitter and came back. No one disagrees that we need more diversity, but go after Marvel, not the actor.

It's pathetic and flat out wrong, but it justifies itself via a connection to social issues. Diversity is an issue that needs to addressed, but on the same trend, how many times have american actors played Europeans, or vice-versa? People go way overboard with this too much. At that point it simply devolves into an echo chamber of hate around one single person who is going to what? Turn down a part on a show because apparently he's not racially qualified? Let's also point out the fact that simply scrolling through Finn's twitter is enough to show where he stands politically.

They're doing it to Iron Fist, they've done it to GoT, they do it the DCEU, etc etc. Not saying these things aren't without flaws, but there's just this like mass hysteria over fucking movies and TV shows. Social media is on a constant witch hunt for a new celebrity to attack, or a new show to try to boycott. Finn Jones is not at fault for playing this role. He was offered the job, took the job, and now is performing that job. He's not the one writing scripts or casting actors. He's just showing up and saying his lines. sorry for the word vomit but i just really agree lol
