really difficult to pick between ned and dany from me. but i guess ned since his pov gives more insight into main characters

Ned by far. I like Dany alright as a character, but as Belle said, Ned brought more to the table in terms of interaction and character development. Dany's storyline is very good, but there were times where I viewed it as a separate story since it was just too far removed from everything else going on in the world. That's actually one of the reasons I enjoyed Feast and Dance; things got more expansive, yet tied Daenerys in with the rest of the world and I was ok with that. |

Have to go with Cat here. Whispering Wood and King in the North and Trident are 2 of my favorite chapters. Eddard is definitely close.

I voted Dany Ned was only in one book and although they were some of the best chapters, dany wins. Shit I just realised I thought this was for the whole series for some reason when I voted. Its eddard  |

Eddard. As others have said, he gives more insight which is key in a first book.
Cat was a close second.
