After scouring his IMDB page, I discovered that Shakman actually has a really shockingly impressive resume:
Six Feet under (1 ep) One Tree Hill (1 ep) Boston Legal (1 ep) Everybody Hates Chris (2 eps) Ugly Betty (3 eps) Children's Hospital (2 eps) House (5 eps) Psych (5 eps) Fargo (2 eps) Revenge (4 eps) The Good Wife (6 eps)
Along with his 39 episodes of Sunny, which D&D love, the dude is no slouch. I think there's a pretty good chance we've found our Cogman-written episode director. He'll do a good job of handling the dialogue driven scenes and character moments.

Shakman has done a ton of Sunny episodes, but most notably he did "Charlie Work" which was an incredible Birdman-esque single shot style episode. He should be a great fit.

Ask all you want, but there's no way she would answer Sapochnik straight up said in the making of documentary for these episodes that we aren't gonna find out what she whispered. Your sig... Lyanna has always been one of my favorite characters and she was just perfect and beautiful and BRAVE. I wish we could see more of her.

"I want to be brave." "You are." "I'm not. I don't want to die." "You're not going to die." My girl

So has anyone asked the Lyanna actress on Twitter about Jon's real name? Is it Aemon or Aegon? Ask all you want, but there's no way she would answer Sapochnik straight up said in the making of documentary for these episodes that we aren't gonna find out what she whispered.

Julian Glover should be relieved he has not had role since season 4. Is that the "Renly is not right!" guy? No, Julian Glover plays Pycelle. I don't know what the fuck boojam is talking about, but that's the actor's name. Galbart Glover said Renly is not right.

Lena by far. Bella Ramsey. Liam and Carice were both terrific. Nikolaj's facial expressions were exceptional. Natalie went out with her best performance. Even Eugene fucking Simon was terrific. Lena was exceptional, but every single fucking person killed it in this episode. Even the goddamn Sand Snakes put on their best performances.

I rewatch one scene from S1 and I'm sure that Bran lies beneath the same heart tree where Jon took his vows. So he could easily pass the Wall at Castle Black in finale. Quite obvious, I know. Yep, I think Benjen will mention that this was the tree to which Jon swore his vows, and then Bran will touch it thinking about Jon, triggering the second part of the ToJ scene. oh fuck

Aw fuck yeah. Forest Whitaker will be playing an adult Saw Gerrera in Rogue One. Saw was a leader of a rebel cell against the Separatists as a teenager and was part of an incredible Ahsoka arc. This is the first time that an animated character has made the jump from television to a film, this is great for the future of the franchise.

And I also think this was the first battle in the show without any comic relief, just pure horror and desperation. Was there comic relief at the Wall and Hardhome once the fighting started? The whole Janos Slynt in the kitchens thing, Sam going to let Ghost out and an arrow lands above the door and he's all like "the fuck was that", Edd being confused when Jon puts him in charge. There was plenty of it, but it all fit so well into the story of the episode that nobody really realized it was comedy.
