So, who will blink and back down and agree to the partnerships continuing first do you think, Sony or Disney? The decision is utter greed and nonesense from Disney of course It's greed on both sides to be fair. Yeah, Disney wanting a 50/50 split is greedy, but Sony need to present a better offer than 5%. Every Spider-man movie they make profits massively from it's connection to the MCU. To be honest, I think a lot of people on the internet are overreacting, as is kind of the norm now I guess. I can't see either Disney or Sony turning away from Spider-man, he's literally been the poster boy for Marvel for over half a century. As much as I'm looking forward to the X-men, I can't wait for them to finally make a decent Fantastic Four movie, if only because the MCU really needs the presence of a big, established villain like Doom, or Magneto. It seems that no one who gets their hands on these characters can actually understand how to write a movie based around them. Fingers crossed.

Anyone read the new Attack on Titan chapter? That moment with Zeke and Grisha literally changes everything. Grisha can see Zeke in his reality, even though he and Eren are looking back into his memories. If Titan shifters can communicate backwards with past inheritors as well as forward, it opens up a ridiculous amount of possibility, and also explains how the owl knew about Mikasa and Armin all those years before they were born. But it doesn't explain whose memories they were, which is even crazier. How far back will Eren's influence go? Also, this is officially my new favourite panel in the manga. It shows the memories of all the people we know of who have been in control of the Titan's eren now holds. His own, Grisha's memories, Eren Krueger "The Owl", Freida Reiss... Pretty sure one of those even belongs to the Tybur sister who held the War Hammer Titan before Eren. I love all the little callbacks to old chapters like this, and I even love that one of Eren's memories is of the original, long dead Levi Squad. It's attention to detail that makes this story great. ALSO there's one panel in Grisha's memories of him nervously trying to avoid the secret police, and one of them is Kenny fucking Ackerman. Have I mentioned how great this fucking chapter was yet?

www.pcgamer.com/amp/lead-producer-of-next-dragon-age-game-leaves-bioware/Oof! This is just sad stuff from a studio that has made two of my favourite games of all time. The more and more I hear about Dragon Age 4, the less excited I am for it... On a positive note, I started playing Octopath Traveller on Switch and it's amazing. Literally everything I could have dreamed and more. Also Dragon Age XI is awesome. If you like JRPGs you should give it a chance. When WRPGs let me down, at least I can still rely on the Japanese.

I bought XII and X on switch, but I haven't got around to replaying them yet. I actually got 100% achievements on Steam and I can honestly say, trial mode is seriously a lot of fun. Dunno if it's just me, but the mega bosses in TZA seem a lot easier than in the original. You can use the debuff techniks on Yiazmat and reduce the amount of damage he can hit you with down to like 60... It's kind of crazy. I got the platinum trophy on PS4 as well ... and I only remember that it was a lot of busy work. I mean, getting all the abilities alone was super annoying and time-consuming, there are a bunch of them you can only find in very specific treasure chests that have a mere five percent chance of spawing, so I remember leaving and re-entering certain maps for hours until that one special treasure would finally show up. Don't think I'll be doing that again for my current playthrough. Not just the mega bosses, the entire game is a bit easier than the original. The Remaster is based on the International Zodiac Job System version, which was heavily rebalanced because of the different job classes that were added to the game, and is overall easier than the original. Moreover, the Remaster allows you to chosoe two job classes for each one of your characters (in the PS2 version, you could only choose one), which not only means that your characters have access to a wider variety of magic and equipment, they also get a bunch of additional passive abilities and buffs from both their license boards. But the game's difficulty has not been adjusted accordingly, so you are basically fighting the same enemies as on PS2, but with characters that are stronger than they were meant to be. I remember the Zodiac Spear has something silly like 1% chance spawn in Henne Mines. Thankfully TZA has a speed adjustment function, but yeah, still a pain in the ass to get.

I'm so glad our politics has come to this Boris Johnson is PM now, my friend. Y'know, the guy who makes cute, racist comments and doesn't get called out for it because he's a wacky fellow. Anything goes these days.

I'm currently playing FFXII on Daniel's Switch, and I just kind of blazed through the story in a week or so, because I really wanted to get to the endgame and kill some super bosses. Currently doing the mob hunts and having an absolute blast. It's ridiculous just how many optional dungeons and bosses there are in this game, but it's also kind of sad that it really is just the endgame stuff that forces you to utilize the Gambit system to its fullest. You can get through the story easily by relying on an absolute basic Gambits setup, but once you get to the super bosses, you have to get creative in order to win. Even an early optional boss like Adrammelech requires you to adapt and come up with gambits tailored specifically to him, otherwise he will wipe you out in a matter of seconds. And that's really cool and I wish some of the storyline bosses were just as intricate. Though I gotta say, I absolutely despise the Great Crystal dungeon in Giruvegan. Seriously, what lunatic designed that monstrosity? And the fact that some of the game's best equipment and magicks (including Hastega and Shellga) are hidden away in the deepest depths of the crystal is the most sadistic game design decision of all time. I bought XII and X on switch, but I haven't got around to replaying them yet. I actually got 100% achievements on Steam and I can honestly say, trial mode is seriously a lot of fun. Dunno if it's just me, but the mega bosses in TZA seem a lot easier than in the original. Zadeth , Goblin Slayer is a very good action/fantasy show if you can get past the first episode. The first episode includes some sexual violence that is hard to watch. It does a good job establishing the goblins as a serious threat which makes future encounters with them all the more suspenseful. So be warned that the first episode is a doozy, but the rest of the series is much more digestible. I thought the show had good world building and animation, and I really liked the character interactions and development as Goblin Slayer evolves from a loner to working with a party. I think I will buy the series if/when it gets a BluRay release. So you wound up watching Goblin Slayer?

Attack on Titan is a prime example of subversion/adaptation done right. I'm impressed by how true they've been to the source material so far, especially considering how big the revelations in this series are... Big spoilers for the latest episode! Dunno if anyone on here has read the Manga, but the anime is now getting into the series best arc. No spoilers, but it only gets better from here... I've been reading the manga too. I'm looking forward to the next part of the arc but I strongly dislike Gabi. I'm hoping the TV version is less annoying. Yeah, I don't hate her as much as a lot of other fans seem to, but I get why people don't like her. The whole "Gabi is meant to be younger Eren" is a little too on the nose. Still, she's at least starting to come around to the idea that not all the people on the island are evil, and she only really knows what she's been told to believe, I just don't know why it took so long for us to reach that point when the main cast have already showed us that fact time and time again.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-48701962Symbolises everything wrong with EA tbh. To be clear, Lootboxes are not a mechanic of a game. They are additional content. And to be clear, most Lootboxes advertise items which are incredibly rare meaning the only way to obtain the actual stuff you want is luck and another purchase. This is done by design. That's not a kinder egg. The toy in a kinder egg is not content for a full priced game, it's a toy to keep the kid you bought the egg for occupied. The kinder egg is not by design created to bait purchases to unlock something in (again) a full priced game, with a fairly low success rate to motivate more purchases. Lootboxes are by far one of the most disgusting and toxic elements of modern gaming and have encouraged the advancement of MTX in numerous games, even single player titles. I hate legislation and government imposing themselves on the entertainment industry, but honestly I think it may be necessary to curb companies like EA, and others (particularly in this new generation of online BR games) that are blatantly exploiting their audience for return revenue.

We have a release date! March 3rd 2020. Now the question is, will this be the full game, or just episode 1? Probs episode 1. As far as I know it's still episodic, at least according to this article from early last month... www.pushsquare.com/news/2019/05/final_fantasy_vii_remake_will_still_be_an_episodic_releaseNothing's confirmed until we hear it from Square Enix, but that said, this is Square Enix and FFVII. They've show in the past that they will milk that game for every penny it's worth, so I can't see how this will be any different. Still super stoked for it though. I'm considering getting VII again on the Switch just so I can play it on the way to work...

Cyberpunk 2077 is the single most important take away from E3, and if you don't agree you're wrong, because Keanu Reeves.
Fallen Order looks way too much like Force Unleashed. Am I the only person who kind of wants a Star Wars game where I play as a wimpy Jedi, kinda like Zayne Carrick in the Old Republic comics, as opposed to always being an OP super soldier who cuts through Stormtroopers like nothing? I was kind of hoping for that when I heard the game was based around a padawan's story, but straight away he's chopping down Stormtroopers with ease. These are the same guys who pretty much wiped the order out, aren't they? IDK, it just looked generic.

I’m gonna start Witcher 3 next. I was maybe 1/4 way thru the campaign last time I played, but I honestly don’t remember any of it. So I think I’m just gonna start completely over and really enjoy it. But first I’m gonna read up on the previous events in the series (fun fact: I also have Witcher 2 and played maybe a fourth of that, I’m sensing a pattern here). I'm going to be severely disappointed if you don't enjoy Witcher 3...

I think Dany's madness and her dictactorial pursuits were a more pressing issue than her procreating. But i agree there's an undertone of sexism. I can't help but say Dany was kind of right? I mean Sansa was never going to be loyal and the starks just seemed to serve their own purposes selfishly. Naming Bran king is redundant, its tyrion who truly rules. I don't think Dany's intention was to kill everyone in the world. The way her lines were said kind've had traces of regret and remorse but too blinded by rage for Cersei and that is why she burnt kings landing I don't know. I'm conflicted Dany was right. Everyone fucked her over. Sometimes intentionally. I mean, Sansa told Tyrion purely to mess with Dany. I get what the show was trying to go for. Everyone in King's Landing chose to stay there, chose the Lannisters over her. There's even a little part where she goes on about how they refuse to rise up like the slaves in Essos. But the lack of narrative exploration makes it seem rushed. I think they wanted to portray Dany as having the mentality of "rise up and join us, or stand against us." There's no middle ground there. But again, the lack of developing that character makes it seem ridiculously unreasonable. That's this entire season though. Sansa doesn't like Dany for "reasons", she wants the North to be divided from the south despite the fact that some of the people who treated her the worst (namely Ramsay) were Northerners, and those who helped save her (the Knights of the Vale) were southerners. No one helps diffuse this. In many cases they inflame it. I mean, Bran could absolutely ruin Sansa's argument by telling everyone how Daenerys freed slaver's bay and saved the slaves from the Masters and that she isn't evil. That said, I think this isn't vastly different from how things turn out in the books. If anything, I think the whole point of other characters, namely Stannis, is to show how dangerous the idea of destiny and belief in "righteous" claims is. I mean their stories mirror each other pretty heavily, and that's obviously intentional on George's part. We were told for so long not to put faith in prophecy and destiny because it can be misinterpreted, and both these characters are pushed by claims and people telling them they are prophesied saviours, whose destiny it is to save the world. The end result of course is that they aren't that, but their beliefs drive them to commit terrible acts that ultimately lead them down a path to their own downfall. However, much like I don't believe BookStan burns Shireen, BookDany won't burn King's Landing, at least not as blatantly as ShowDany does. The precedent these characters set, and being blind to the reality of their situations is what will fuel these actions in the books. I think her dragons will destroy King's Landing, but it doesn't necessarily have to be her controlling them. It could be Euron, or Moqorro, it could be the Dragon's fire sets off caches of Wildfire that levels the city. Madqueen to me is insulting not just from the idea of sexism, but simply because it's unearned. She tries to do everything right, but everyone tells her to go fuck herself, despite the fact she helped save the world from ice demons. Again, it's probably just the way this last season was put together, but nah, Dany isn't mad. If anything, the idea of Dany finishing her narrative as something of a tyrannical figure makes sense. Her whole story so far has been in presenting her as something different, something better. In the end, she will prove to be much the same as the men who have ruled Westeros. As ruthless as the Tywin's, headstrong as the Robb Stark's, uncompromising as the Stannis', proud as the Balon's... She's not a worse ruler than any of the men, but she's not better. There's a quote from GRRM where he talks about writing female characters as people, not as female characters. She's human, and just as capable of failure as anyone else whose claimed the crown before her. That's the true equality of the series, and the reality that one person can't rule an entire continent alone. Not just crazy lady is crazy because she's a crazy lady.

what makes me sad is that I actually used to really like Bran as a character ... before they turned him into a robot Book Bran is my top 3 with Dany and Cat. The show has now fucked over all three of my faves Book Bran is my fave character, and honestly, probably the most significant character in the entire series. But the showrunners clearly had no interest in the magical side of the narrative (hence why there is no real Euron, Moqorro, Quaithe, true House of the Undying warlocks, Glamoured Mance, Bloodraven, Lady Stoneheart, Ghost of High Heart, explanation of prophecy, you get the point). We should have realised where the show was going when they took out Jojen Reed before they even met the Three Eyed Raven. Jojen was Bran's mentor. He teaches Bran as much as the Raven does, and he guides Bran to him. Bran looks up to Jojen, he respects Jojen, and trusts him. His gradual depression in ADWD, and the (very likely) possibility that he needs to be killed to make Jojen paste so Bran can awaken his true powers as a greenseer is going to be essential in shaping Bran's character as he enters the final stage of this story. If Bran had to accept that this was necessary, it could help to ease us into this uncaring or apathetic seeming Bran the show was trying to portray. Instead, his brain just seems to install a new OS or something.
