I need some game suggestions, bitches. God of War. Also, hope Davey won't hate me for this, but if you really gonna play a Soulsborne game, I suggest playing Bloodborne or Dark Souls 3 instead. I mean, not only can you get those cheaper than the Dark Souls Remaster (which is more a port than a remaster, honestly), they also have much more polished and fluid gameplay. I will always love Dark Souls 1 for nostalgic reasons, but going back to it after having played the newer games is really hard.

Also, I have now made the mistake of reading Rian Johnson's twitter. Apparently Solo's terrible box office performance is his fault. Because of course it is. I'm seeing a lot of stuff like this on the internet. Not flawless, but I thought The Last Jedi was easily the best of the recent Star Wars movies and it stuns me that it gets so much hate from fans. I don't know if this is just a vocal minority or what but they want everyone to know how displeased they were with the movie. Apparently there was an effort to boycott Solo in hopes that Disney would fire Kathleen Kennedy. How toxic is this fanbase? Very. Even though I've always loved Star Wars, I've never been actively involved with the fandom, so I was extremely disappointed to see all the malice and toxicity after The Last Jedi came out. So many people acting like entitled little shits who didn't get the toy they wanted for Christmas. I mean it's totally valid to dislike the movie, but jeez, don't be a bitch about it. Nothing is flawless, but I still consider The Last Jedi to be one of the best Star Wars movies, precisely because it felt so different than all the others. No other movie in the franchise, with the exception of A New Hope perhaps, has ever gotten such a strong emotional response out of me. I'm surprisingly zero hyped for Solo right now, so I'm probably gonna wait a few weeks until I go see it. I'm already starting to experience some franchise fatigue in regard to Star Wars.

Look at this tidbit of foreshadowing from Chamber of Secrets:
Never noticed this before, but it's so clear: it wasn't actually Harry who felt this strange sense of familiarity when he read the name Tom Riddle, it was the piece of Voldemort's soul that was living inside of him.
It's kind of funny that there were all these crazy theories about Harry and Voldemort before Deathly Hallows came out, but it's so obvious in retrospect that Harry was a horcrux all along. Dumbledore literally spells it out for us in the second book.

New off-screen image of FF7 Remake has leaked, it looks to be the Air Buster boss. Three years since the announcement and they ain't even out of Midgar yet ... they seem to be literally still working on the tutorial missions. That's kind of discouraging.

I fucking love Uematsu so much. His music is such a big part of why Final Fantasy is my favourite thing in the world.

^It's just like my breakup letter. "You talk about your skills in bed, but mine are so massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never have to be used." "Your penis may be large, but mine is larger. I pray to God I will never have to wreck you with it."

So, I finished the second season of 13 Reasons Why. In many ways, I liked it more than the first season. The characters were a lot less black and white, maybe because we got to know them more intimately, as it wasn't all told from Hannah's perspective. The first half of the season was really slow and kind of a chore to get through though. It often felt like a generic high school drama, very different from the surreal, anxiety-inducing tone of the first season. The second half was much better. It was also really preachy. Somehow, it felt even more preachy than the first season. Sometimes you could literally feel how a thing that a character said was just the writers of the show trying to get a message across, it was done with the subtlety of an after school special. But it was still great. I don't want to sound more negative than I am, because I actually really loved this season. It had so, so many beautiful moments that made it worth it for me ... even with all its problems, it was still amazing. The two scenes that I loved the most were both in the finale. First, Clay's speech at Hannah's memorial. Such a wonderfully written scene, and beautifully acted by Dylan Minnette. I watched it like five times and I couldn't get through it even once without bawling.
The other one was my favourite scene in the entire show. It was the moment during the dance, when The Night We Met started playing, and the rest of the gang came up to Clay to comfort him. That was so beautiful and sad. I literally have no words. I think the entire season was worth it just for that one moment.
But, I gotta say, I'm very disappointed in the way things left off. GOD. They had it! They had a perfect series finale at their hands, but they just had to ruin it for the purpose of a sequel. I was so happy when Clay's family offered to adopt Justin, but of course they had to show him still using drugs. If only they had scrapped the whole Jessica/Justin/Alex ordeal and the entire school shooting storyline, they could have ended the show right here, and it would have been a perfect, bittersweet ending to Hannah's story. With her mum moving on, Clay letting her go, and the entire gang coming together as one at the end. You don't need to keep on going from here, this show was always about Hannah, and the last episode of this season would have been the perfect conclusion, if only they had gotten rid of the superfluous stuff that was only there to set up Season 3.
I loved the season, but that ending left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm curious to hear what you guys think about this season.

I want to cry, holy shit. This looks so amazing. I LOVE that the battle music during the Titan fight is The Deep End from Kingdom Hearts 1 ... all the beautiful nostalgia.

Oh man. Is it just me or does this look really bad and lame.
I have a complicated relationship with Charmed nowadays, but I used to absolutely love it when I was a kid. I was obsessed with it, and it will therefore always have a very special place in my heart. This just feels so, so wrong ... I can't even.
