Its a fucking abomination that The Leftovers did not get any nominations imo. Season 2 was incredible, so so beautifully written. Justin Theroux, Christopher Eccleston and Regina King all deserved acting nominations.

I couldn't get into Leftovers but I saw a lot of people seriously pissed off about how that show was omitted by the Emmys. Emmys are mostly ridiculous, though so it only suggests to me that what they ignore must be awesome TV

But Season 2 was pretty much flawless television, honestly one of the best seasons of a TV I've watched since Breaking Bad ended. Honestly I'm a little surprised it got 0 nominations because even though the ratings were bad, it was critically acclaimed.

Justin Theroux, Christopher Eccleston and Regina King all deserved acting nominations. Pretty much. Theroux never stood a chance considering he's the lead actor and that tends to be incredibly tough to break into, though I agree he deserves it, but how did none of the many great supporting actors get nominations for either gender? This was pretty much the most raved-about show for its acting all year, deservedly so. Just have to hope for some final season recognition.

Oh and it's a joke Ramin Djawadi wasn't nominated. Arguably his best work this season imo. he is number one in our hearts. That is all that matters.

The Emmys are very set in their ways, they have a bunch of shows and actors they love and nominate almost every year, while ignoring a lot of great shows just because. Then you have the Golden Globes, that do the opposite and try to surprise every year with some of the victors.

I honestly haven't heard anything about the Leftovers outside of this forum. It might just be a show that's not on the radar for a lot of people. Game of Thrones is very popular, though, so it gets acting nominations it probably doesn't deserve. But it's good for the Emmy's to nominate the most popular show in the world. The Wire is the best show I've ever seen, it was completely ignored by the Emmys.

Now that I watch Penny Dreadful I am furious that Eva Green never won anything for that show.

Now that I watch Penny Dreadful I am furious that Eva Green never won anything for that show. She should have one last shot next year but I fear the show will be a fading memory by then Patti LuPone and Helen McCrory should have been up for Guest and Supporting actress respectively too, IMO
