Queen's Justice is awesomesauce. The other two ... not so much. That one has me rolling in MadQueenHype. The other two sound pretty generic. Das ok doe.

I wonder if Queen's Justice refers to Cersei or Dany. I hope Cersei ... otherwise this would mean three Daenerys centric titles in a row. That's too much dragonz for my taste.

Nowadays their episode titles has multiple meaning instead of excluding only one, like "Home" and "Book of Stranger". So "Queen's Justice" and "Dragonstone" can imply to different meaning and that can include not only Dany, but Cersei as well.

Even Home had multiple meanings. Bran, Euron, Theon.

The episode descriptions are in that link too. Are we not discussing those in the Non-Spoiler thread?

Dude, brace yourself, I feel like the final two seasons are gonna be non-stop badass Dany speeches. "I'm going to break the wheel."

"You're not going to get the King's Justice. I'm going to give you the Queen's Justice." (Music swells, slow zoom on Emilia's smirk)

But too much badassery takes away from her character imo, I think she's at her best when she is vulnerable. And I've never been a huge fan of the dragons anyway. Last season when she set that hut on fire ... I didn't feel anything. When she said goodbye to Jorah, I bawled my eyes out. GoT's tendency to show other characters worship her has made it hard for me to feel emotionally attached to her as a person, you know. Her desire to "go home", doesn't feel genuine or relatable anymore. She was my absolute favourite in Season 1, but now she doesn't even feel like a real character anymore.

She's become too large for herself, its not about going home anymore, its about doing what everyone has put on her since Viserys died. She's become a shell of herself and all she is now is a ruler. The only moments where she feels real anymore are with Jorah and Daario, both of whom she left to do their own thing while she sails. The more people who praise her and put expectations on her, the less of a person she becomes and the more of a ruler she becomes. It might be her downfall or it might make her a good queen, but I think people like us who don't just watch the show for "omg khaleesi omg dragons omg boobs" are supposed to feel the way you feel about her now. She's not the young person learning about the world that we could relate to in season one anymore, she's larger than life.

Anyway, the only thing I could get out of those descriptions is that I think the unexpected visitor is Melisandre. I remember the shot of her overlooking the battlements of Dragonstone in the first trailer, so I bet she goes back there and finds it inhabited again. Tyrion and Varys might be willing to listen to her after their meeting with Kinvara last season.
And I wonder if Jaime will leave King's Landing again as he "learns from his mistakes". Maybe the mistake was coming back and now Cersei is driving him away again and he gets caught up in the invasion at Casterly Rock.

She's not the young person learning about the world that we could relate to in season one anymore, she's larger than life. That's a really good point! I'm just not quite sure if that's really the thought process of the writers, or if they are intentionally trying to make her as badass as possible because they think that 'badass' equals great character. A strong character means complexity to me, not badassery. As much as I do not love the Meereen stuff in the books, as tedious as that storyline could get, it never turned Dany into a lesser character, she was still very much human and flawed. I guess that's because in the books, we have the benefit to be in her head and to hear her thoughts. But the way she is written on the show often feels flat to me, and I don't quite get the appeal anymore. I like the idea of her more than I like the actual character. I hope they do something interesting with her in season 7, apart from her being a badass dragon rider and queen of awesome. She had a few humanizing moments in Season 6 that I really loved, that scene with Jorah for example. I want more of that.

Her desire to "go home", doesn't feel genuine or relatable anymore. She was my absolute favourite in Season 1, but now she doesn't even feel like a real character anymore. My favourite scene of Dany's in the last few seasons was her chaining Viserion and Rhaegal. One of Emilia's best acting moments since the first season imo, although she showed last season she does best spouting off a speeches in a made-up language (I also thought she was great in the sack of Astapor btw). I think what you are talking about ist why I like her infinitely more in the books. She maintains two distinct personas - her Queenky public face and the more vulnerable girl behind the scenes (recall she is only 16 or so by aDwD). I love her relationship with Missandei in the books (they try and replicate this in the show, but I don't think they manage it). And her struggles to remain principled or go for broke and burn her foes...I actually really like the Meereen chapters because I find the exploration of Dany's character fascinating. I too hope we get a flavour of that in this and next season, and not just "DRACARYS!" Rinsed and repeated again and again. Hopefully they can pull something off with her interacting with other major characters. And minimise her time with Tyrion because I hate the character and think Dinklage is terrible

Dany also lack character development which is something that infuriates me. She went through a tremendous character development in the first season is what makes her story line very appealing. But afterwards and especially the last 2 seasons, she already lose some of her charms as her story became less interesting. She doesn't do anything particularly interesting other than making repetitive speeches, ignoring her adviser's words, and burning people. And even when she return to Meereen. She doesn't learn anything other than burning people.
Basically, she's the same person ever since S2.

The child throwing a full on tantrum in Qarth, screaming about her dragons and her birthright is not the same woman we see in the season 7 trailer, sinking to her knees and touching the soil of the land she was born on. She's no less determined, but I can't see how she hasnt matured. Yes, she's still not perfect, but she's less of a spoiled brat ranting about her eventual Conquest and more of a seasoned warrior actually doing her Conquest, if that makes sense. She's chilled out, she's more reflective, but she's still prepared to kick some ass.

She doesn't take as much for granted, she puts more thought into things than "I'm gonna go to Qarth and they're gonna give me money in ships bc I'm so awesome!" Not to say she's some Tywin-level mastermind or something, but she's learning that she's not untouchable, and that there's so much more to being queen than her last name.
