So Nina Gold is the best, they look so much alike. I can't wait to see what the actress playing the older version of Lyanna looks like.

Is this still a comparison of hair or something else? I think her facial structure fits perfectly right in between them. I don't know if it was purposeful or not. I liked how similar the hairstyle was to Sansa's too.

Davos wanted him inside because he had the crazy idea Mel might, just might, be able to revive him. And if she could not he wanted to give him a proper send-off. The mutineers didn't care about the body; they wanted the wolf and those loyal to Jon to die. The second is reasonable. We don't find out about Davos's motivation until E2. Kind of wish Mel had mentioned Thoros of Myr , in passing, some while back. I don't think it is necessary for him to know about Thoros to have the idea. He saw the shadow baby. He saw her survive poison. He know she has some crazy amazing abilities, so he just hopes against hope that reviving the dead might be one of them.

He know she has some crazy amazing abilities, so he just hopes against hope that reviving the dead might be one of them. And really, what matters is that the audience knows about Thoros and connects it to Melisandre. Even casual watchers seem to remember the scene where Melisandre came to get Gendry and was amazed at how many times Beric had been brought back plus they emphasized it in the recap 'previously on' again. Sometimes you don't really need to hit the audience over the head with details to get the idea across and in this case most everyone, even non-book readers knew Melisandre could have those powers well before Davos ever walked in her room so it was a given.

Aye, but that doesn't cancel the things he directly witnessed her do. The visions were not something he ever witnessed. And he still is clueless about Shireen. Again, him wanting to protect the body is not only about this crazy notion he has. The mutineers just left Jon lying there dead. They clearly were not going to give him a funeral. So even if Mel could not revive him he still had an instinct to give dead Jon his respects and let his friends say goodbye.

How many endgame hints do we get this episode? These are the obvious ones:
- Child of the forest basically confirming Bran will leave the cave. So that's one book theory debunked.
- Hints pointing towards Tyrion being a Targaryen dragonrider.
- Euron mentioning Oldtown.... though that may not be so "endgame".
- Hodor will be important somehow.
Anything else?

Anything else? Maybe the CotF don't share the same end goal with Bloodraven? I always thought that Bloodraven's plan was to make Bran as powerful as he is, and then warg him. Maybe that's just a theory, but I'd really like some ambiguity to Bloodraven, like Bran questioning his intentions or something. Surely he can't just be this story's version of Yoda who guides the young hero on his journey?

I found this part quite telling: Sounds to me like he doesn't want to reveal more to come on the connection between Ghost and Jon is what I think! Perhaps we will finally get yet another long-standing fan theory confirmed?

I think Mel will ask him, like she did with Beric in ep. 306, what he remembers from being dead. And perhaps, instead of saying "there is no other side", he'll recall being inside Ghost's head. Could be anyways.

"We were basing a lot of the visuals on Rembrandt paintings, specifically The Anatomy Lesson." That's very interesting. Although it reminded me more of this:

I think I found my favorite reaction guy yet. This 'tough guy' tears up when Tyrion tells the story of being a boy wanting a dragon and touches Rhaegal ... his speculation and reactions are perfect.
