FarFarAwaySite finally updated the 602 pictures btw. www.farfarawaysite.com/section/got/gallery6/gallery2/gallery.htmThey don't have all of the ones I saw in reviews and on IMDB but they have more than they do for 601 (those pickings were so slim I never even linked them). And we should get the 603 promo pics tomorrow (or rather later today for those who sleep at sane hours), I think, if last week's precedent holds. Why they couldn't include this one for example bugs me to no end. They're getting sloppy, I tell you. Sloppy. Fine. I apologize @konradsmith , 7timesdamnedshewolf , @nictarion , and archiechvyalthan . I didn't remember Yara's line correctly, probably should have watched it over again before making that post. It's really too easy.

Going back to season 3 E7, at their meeting: Melisandre : You are Thoros of Myr Melisandre : The High Priest gave you a mission. .... more talk... then Melisandre meets Beric and discovers Thoros has the resurrection power. So was all that done to set up the end sequence last episode? Seems so. An interesting spoiler for Winds of Winter? (I mean D&D knew about Jon, so was this a broad stroke given them by GRRM?) I mean it does set up the result and she did mention having talked to Thoros about it, I mean in E2. (And we do see Thoros again this season?)
The High Priest? Man if Thoros can drunkenly discover his power and Melisandre can be pushed over the edge to do it what can the High Red Priest do?! Seems strange that Melisandre seems to know a formal procedure , all the top clergy of R'hllor know this? "...gave you a mission....", so she knows that, even if only knows of Thoros... is she on a mission for R'hllor too? Seems so.
It is noticeable , in the books, even more so on the show, besides proselytizing for R'hllor there seems a religious campaign to marshal forces against The Great Other (The Knight's King on the show?). Remember Melisandre is supposed to meet Arya again.

Catelyn was dead for three days too, just saying. And Thoros didn't want to do it, because it had been too long. Catelyn had also been in the water, which may of corroded her somewhat. Jon was up at Castle Black, where it's nice and cold, that may effect it somewhat. Yeah, I think being at the Wall will be good for Jon in his resurrected state, since Aemon says in a Sam chapter in AFFC than 'fire burns but the wall preserves' (or something to that effect).

Did Euron ever mention going to the Jade Sea in AFFC btw? Because isn't that REALLY far away? Like Asshai far away? Yeah, in the books it is implied he went as far as Asshai. Maybe he and Mel can have a chat? Dave Hill changed Asshai to "Qarth", though, so maybe show-Euron didn't make it quite as far as Asshai. But I think his travels will be important to the plot somehow (as in, what he found there). Asshai hasn't been mentioned that much in the show, right? Probably changed it to Qarth so show only watchers would recognise the place name, and know he's been far away? Just my opinion though

5x08 5x03 5x10 5x05 5x07 5x04 5x01 5x06 5x02 5x09 5x09 in last place? That's suprising to me. Other than some iffy cgi during Dany's ride that episode is pretty great imo. I'd have to rewatch the whole season again, but I'd probably place it right behind Hardhome. Stannis scenes were the only thing that I liked. Daznak's pit didn't feel epic or anything, the fighting choreography looked clunky, and the CGI of Dany riding Drogon was really horrible. IIRC Jon's only scene was them crossing the Wall, which made no sense, as they didn't even need to go through it. Arya's scenes were pretty boring tbh, and then there was Dorne.

Maester Wolkan is shitting his pants whenever he sees Ramsay. And Harald is a dick. I don't think the truth will leave Winterfell. Many will of course doubt Ramsay's story. It's going to look mighty suspicious that both Roose AND his wife are dead at the same time unless Ramsay just doesn't let anyone say anything about Walda. She could of course conveniently die in childbirth. Still... there's enough people in Winterfell ... the truth will get out even if just as rumors which would be as equally fitting as the rumors that circulated about what a monster Ramsay was in the books. I am positive the "official" story will be that Roose, Walda and child were poisoned by their enemies. Or that Walda and child died in childbirth. I wonder if we will see any Northerners doubting Ramsey's story? Unless Sansa is like, "THINK ABOUT IT MORONS!" Harald is a dick. Hope he dies horribly too.

Basil has so much ammunition now. He deserves to have some really. Nezzer and Jesse have sneered at his King for too long.

I started rewatching the episode. I haven't had time to do a full rewatch yet. I started making notes, which of course, I forgot to keep up once I got immersed, but this episode had so many instances of shadowing past events like this. The giant bursting in the gate was like the giant bursting in and killing Grenn. There was this in addition to the young Ned/Jon shadowing. There was Jaime and Tommen with Myrcella's corpse, mirroring how Cersei and Tommen stood with Joff's corpse. And they were approached by The Old Dude in Charge, the Sparrow this time, instead of Tywin.

Which I believe was their intention - not to show which Bolton got killed, until it's revealed to be Roose.

eh i would wait a little before making that claim. season 5 started out good too imo but then just completely jumped the shark imo My ranking after rewatching Season 5: Hardhome High Sparrow Kill the Boy The Gift Mother's Mercy The House of Black and White The Dance of Dragons Sons of the Harpy The Wars to Come Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken Which sort of proves that it was all over the place. But "Home" definitely surpasses more than half of S5. Yeah Hardhome is sort of unique among all episodes. In the books I liked Daznak's , one of GRRM's surprises. I was looking forward to it and the rework was good enough to make that episode n. 2 for me. Rest of S5 was fine with me , don't think they had to stumble so bad on Dorne, that was odd. (Not sure how this relates to season 6?)
