Did anybody catch the first episode last night? I haven't seen it yet, but am looking forward to it, given all the hype! On the downside, I started listening to the book at Audible (I work at home and listen to books all day every day while I work) and found it so boring I couldn't continue past several hours listening.

So, I watched the first episode of Wolf Hall last night. I'm a fan of anything Medieval, so I keep watching, but I'd say for the casual viewer--this.show.is.very.slooooow. I mean, very slow. The characters speak slowly, move slowly, respond slowly, and seem to spend long moments staring off into space while thinking about things. A fun part, though, is that its a bit like watching GoT in some alternate universe! The High Sparrow is Cardinal Wolsey, Qyburn is Sir Thomas More, and JoJen is Cromwell's son! And that's just the first episode--no telling what GoT personnel will pop up in future episodes.

There were several GOT actors in the Merlin tv series - it's almost like seeing 'old friends'! Also, Catlyn in Resurrection (viz. LSH!).

Was the series good? I read A Man for All Seasons for English Literature during my A Levels and meant to catch it.
