He put Bran into bed, covered him with blankets, and blew out the candle. For a time Robb sat beside him in the dark. Bran wanted to talk to him, but he did not know what to say. "We'll find a horse for you, I promise," Robb whispered at last. "Are they ever coming back?" Bran asked him. "Yes," Robb said with such hope in his voice that Bran knew he was hearing his brother and not just Robb the Lord. "Mother will be home soon. Maybe we can ride out to meet her when she comes. Wouldn't that surprise her, to see you ahorse?" Even in the dark room, Bran could feel his brother's smile. "And afterward, we'll ride north to see the Wall. We won't even tell Jon we're coming, we'll just be there one day, you and me. It will be an adventure." "An adventure," Bran repeated wistfully. He heard his brother sob. The room was so dark he could not see the tears on Robb's face, so he reached out and found his hand. Their fingers twined together. One of my favorite passages from the books. My understanding (or rumor I heard) is that this was either Issac or Richard's audition scene and it's a bummer it never made the show. It would have been a great and touching scene done by the both of them.

Depressing thought of the day: If Bran has a son when he grows up, I wonder if he'll name him Wyllis (or Walder in the books)

"I know about the promise … Maester Theomore, tell them! A thousand years before the Conquest, a promise was made, and oaths were sworn in the Wolf's Den before the old gods and the new. When we were sore beset and friendless, hounded from our homes and in peril of our lives, the wolves took us in and nourished us and protected us against our enemies. The city is built upon the land they gave us. In return we swore that we should always be their men. Stark men!"

Rickon and Bran is going to feel even worse when he finds out he's dead. i bet they won't even give bran a proper reaction. rickon's death was so brushed over when it happened. poor wolf prince didn't even get a funeral.

Bran gets screwed over quiet a bit feeling wise. Maybe it feels that way because we don't get his inner thoughts like we do in the book. But Bran reacting to The Red Wedding, Hodor and Summer, Rickon, those are all things I want. I thought Isaac and and Ellie did a really good job of looking desperately sad before Benjen saved them, but that's all we got.

Issac did a terrific job reacting to Ser Roderick's death...I am sure he would have done justice to Bran's reactions to his mother, brother, protector and little brother's deaths.

Oh man, he was great in that scene. I remember I linked that clip to someone on a TWD forum I frequent to show how shitty of an actor Chandler Riggs was by comparison (I think he's gotten better now)

I think we should share random Stark quotes from the books during the off season. “Robb took them all the way down to the end, past Grandfather and Brandon and Lyanna, to show them their own tombs. Sansa kept looking at the stubby little candle, anxious that it might go out. Old Nan had told her there were spiders down here, and rats as big as dogs. Robb smiled when she said that. “There are worse things than spiders and rats,” he whispered. “This is where the dead walk.” That was when they heard the sound, low and deep and shivery. Baby Bran had clutched at Arya’s hand. When the spirit stepped out of the open tomb, pale white and moaning for blood, Sansa ran shrieking for the stairs, and Bran wrapped himself around Robb’s leg, sobbing. Arya stood her ground and gave the spirit a punch. It was only Jon, covered with flour. “You stupid,” she told him, “you scared the baby,” but Jon and Robb just laughed and laughed, and pretty soon Bran and Arya were laughing too.” -A Game of Thrones - Arya IV

Also a little bit elaborate and fucked up. You know Sansa probably ran to Catelyn who got even more pissed at Jon.
