The article also mentions all of these places.
"•Plaça dels Jurats (a plaza, or square near Sant Pere de Galligants) •Carrer de Ferran el Catolic, the street between Plaça dels Jurats and the Basilica de Sant Feliu •Plaça de la Catedral between the Girona Cathedral and the Casa Pastors •C. del Bisbe Cartañà •C. de la Claveria •C. de Sant Llorenç •An area near Pda. de Sant Domenec and Pda. de Sant Marti"
And PART TWO.
tbh I couldn't find any decent photos of the C. del Bisbe Cartañà.
C. de la Claveria:
C. de Sant Llorenç:
Pda. de Sant Domenec and Pda. de Sant Marti:

Ok I looked all these up on Google Images just for the fun of it! Here, we can get a visual idea of the areas they are blocking off in Girona for the filming... so many gorgeous locations! Plaça dels Jurats: Near the Monastery we think could be Oldtown / Citadel ... outdoor locale with the trademark arches GRRM described for the Citadel? Next is Carrer de Ferran el Catolic - a street area nearby: Then, next on the list, Plaça de la Catedral: This area has a lot of diff angles on the cathedral - but it's a really huge plaza with tons of cool architecture around outside so this could definitely be Oldtown, or even parts of Braavos since they've said both will be filmed there! Next on the list is Carrer del Bisbe Cartañà: Then it lists Carrer de la Claveria (just a street locale): Next stop on the list is Carrer de Sant Llorenç : And lastly, somewhere near Pda. de Sant Domenec and Pda. de Sant Marti. Not too sure on this one in searches, I think Pda means "Plaza de" right? Here's the most common photos I found for Plaza de Sant Domenec: And it also says Plaza de Sant Marti is of the same area - maybe a different end to the same intersecting plaza area? So that concludes your tour of historic Girona Game of Thrones filming locations for now! Seriously though, you could just throw a dart and hit anything in Girona and it's beautifully suited for GoT location sets! I was browsing photos of quiet cobbled streets with ivy growing up the walls where you can rent a vacation apartment for pretty cheap! Let's head to Girona!

These places look EXACTLY how is envisioned Oldtown! I love it! Oldtown is going to look amazing. Hopefully the giant libraries will be just as compelling. Have you guys seen The Name of the Rose? The movie is so-so but it drips atmosphere. Nothing more mysterious than a good ole medieval library

And yes, this exactly Oldtown how I envisioned it, too. I even visited Girona as a kid, I don't remember much exactly, but it seems to have stuck in my head.

The owner of the "Castillo de Zafra" (the one that probably is going to be the Tower of Joy) said today that they are going to film there for three days: 28,29, 30 of September.

We need some serious recon onsite. I wonder if anyone's tracking Sean Bean's every movement to see if *maybe* he's nearby? haha. But as we speculated before, it's entirely possible they only use those three days for exterior shots that don't include the actors.

I still think the fight will be outside.

They only had a week or less for the Watergarden filming last season and we all know how well that turned out. I pray to all the gods in Essos and Westeros they use properly trained fight choreography stuntmen with their helmets on ffs.

Castell de Santa Florentina (Canet de Mar, Barcelona): 9th - 22th of September Wow, that place is amazing, I wonder what it'll be in the show. I can see Macbeth watching the trees closing in on him from that castle. And it's always nice to see Peniscola again.

Wow those are some beautiful shots cami - thanks for your continued updates for us on the Spain locations! I look forward to seeing more hopefully leaked filming shots once they get rolling with that! I'll bet the people of Spain are just going nuts! WotW just posted an updated long-distance shot of one of those desert-ish looking locations, maybe Almeria? I'm not sure I see what they see (boat?!) in the construction but regardless, it's exciting to see activity happening that looks like Dothraki camp stuff. watchersonthewall.com/game-of-thrones-production-in-spain-continues-in-full-swing-with-more-dates-confirmed/#more-42690

Longer even than they're spending in some of the cities.
