Wow, the Patsy hatred is so strong on reddit right now. It's funny how so many people seem to think that characters having severe flaws or acting irrationally in extreme circumstances equals bad character or poor writing. Where in fact, often times being frustrated with a character is exactly how the writers wanted you to feel. It's the same shit people say about Catelyn. To me, characters having flaws and making some stupid irrational decisions is often times the most compelling aspect of character driven fiction. Trish pulled some really stupid shit this season, but that's exactly why I love her character and why I can't wait to see where the story goes from here. The bolded is an accurate description. Seriously though, I was really frustrated with her decisions, but I get that that's the whole point. Completely agreed with you: there's a tendency among a lot of people to think that when a character makes a mistake, it's bad writing, or they're making a mistake just to follow the plot. But you can and should be angry at the character, because that's exactly how the writers want you to feel. To be honest JJ has kinda slipped my mind, even though I only finished watching it about a week ago. I've still not really got a solid opinion on it.

I finally watched Black Panther. I liked it, but is not going to be among my favourite Marvel Movies. I was really interested in the "should we share our resources or keep to ourselves" debate and it's s pity they didn't dedicate more scenes to it. It's a bit weird than a society so developed has kept such a brutal ritual to elect its king, guess it's the only way they found to give Killmonger the chance to become king And some of the digital effects looked a bit bad, it was cristal clear it was computer made which makes me wonder if maybe the film had a lower budget than the other Marvel Movies and that's why some of the combat scenes looked fake (also, not a fan of the editing of said combat scenes, I hate when the cuts are so fast you can't see what's going on) Despite those things I enjoyed the film

Trish making stupid decisions is the whole point. It’s almost like people don’t get that she used to be/still is an addict and is still affected by that mindset and the damagin behaviours it brings on. See especially Her dragging Malcolm into her addiction too. That was a real low point imo

I've never watched any of the Marvel TV shows but I decided I'm going to watch ALL THIS SHIT before Infinity War to get hyped. I started with the first Captain America and I forgot how boring 90% of that movie is. Agent Carter is p good tho.

Aside from the original Iron Man, the qualities of these movies has skyrocketed since then

Finished up with Agent Carter. Much better than I thought it would be, now I’m wishing it wasn’t cancelled. Next is the rest of Phase One and then starting Agents of SHIELD.

Alright I’m through Winter Soldier and season one of Agents of SHIELD. I think I can finish by the time I see Infinity War.

Alright I’m through Winter Soldier and season one of Agents of SHIELD. I think I can finish by the time I see Infinity War. Honestly Winter Soldier had the best tie-in with AoS. The rest are all kinda weak - in fact the back half of season 4 and basically all of season 5 so far feel like they're not really in the same world as the movies. But the show I still great in its own right, I actually think the show's weakest points are when it has to tie-in with the movies (barring Winter Soldier). Anyways I think you'll probably make good time depending on when you see Infinity War, so long as you don't lose interest anyway. Did you enjoy the first season?

I was liking it but I didn’t realize how much until Skye got shot and Simmons stared crying. The stories are kinda meh villain of the week up until the Deathlok storyline but the characters are all great and I’m invested in them all.

Procrastinating hard on coursework and decided to finish up Jessica Jones S2. No regrets.
I actually think it might be better than the first one, though I can't really decide, because Killgrave was a far better antagonist for the series than anything in S2, and the first few episodes of this series were pretty bland. It picked up real strong around episode 6/7 though, and I felt like there was a far stronger emotional aspect to this series than Season 1, considering that the series shined a torch into Jess' personal life. Once again, they really need to shorten these series, particularly if they intend on doing a season 3, which I'm almost certain they are. There's just not enough material in any of these series to justify the 13 episodes. 8 would honestly be a perfect number. Worked for Defenders at least.

About halfway done with season 2 of Agents of SHIELD and now I start Daredevil. I watched the first episode when it first came out but didn’t really get into it so I haven’t watched any of these Netflix shows yet.

Season 1 of Daredevil was ok. 13 episodes seems like too much, it really dragged at times. Idk I love Marvel because of the fun and flashy stuff and that's why I was able to get into Agents of SHIELD, its that but on a smaller scale. The dark gritty stuff just gets to be too much sometimes, reminds me of why I don't love the DC movies.

Yeah, there's 13 episodes in all but one of the Netflix series and that's definitely a recurring problem. They're also pretty much all the same tone-wise. Jessica Jones season 1 probably has the most levity, thanks to David Tennant, but it's also pretty gritty at some parts. The others though are all on the same level as Daredevil, so if you're not feeling enthusiastic about watching them all then you might want to consider skipping, cause otherwise they might feel more like a chore than entertainment.

I think all the Marvel Netflix shows have pacing issues and too many episodes. Even JJ which is by far the best of them (fight me day dreamer ) could quite comfortably be cut down to 10 episodes at least

lol. All the Netflix shows should be 8 episodes, 10 tops. As much as I like Daredevil, that's not exempt from dragging either.
I still haven't watched JJ S2 yet.
