Happy with most, especially Alfie (finally!) and Emilia (fantastic year for her acting wise). Eww, how did Kit get nominated though? So happy to see Sharp Objects get some love though. Fingers crossed for Adams

hope Emilia wins, but that's about it That's me. I'll be also happy if Gwendoline wins too. But GoT getting 32 nods...nah, fam, they didn't deserve it. Especially for writing and best show. As much as I think Alfie and Lena are terrific actors, and they are and any other year I'd be rooting for them, they barely had anything to do (same with Sophie, Maisie and Kit). I know it's cool to hate on This Is Us and yes their third season has been their weakest but the Vietnam (flashback) storyline was a strong one and the high point of the season and Milo V deserved his nod and so did the actor playing the younger brother. Sterling K Brown did a great job with the Randall and Beth marriage strife. Susan Kelechi Watson who plays Beth should have been nominated, she was one of the actors cast aside in the Emmys GoT final season lovefest. Richard Madden was snubbed for Bodyguard, you can't tell me that what Kit was given this season was better than what Madden had in that show and did in that show for 6 episodes. It's one of the mystifying omissions of the Emmys for me. Bodyguard was nominated for best show and also writing. I am also surprised that Stephan James and Julia Roberts were not nominated for Homecoming. Glad that the Emmys showed Chernobyl love.

I'd like Alfie and Gwedonline to win, especially since they submitted themselves because HBO wouldn't.
I love Lena but her nomination is a joke like half of Peter Dinklage's are. Though I respect her hustle of earning a million per episode to stand on a balcony and drink wine, then get an Emmy nomination on top of it.
I hate that I'll have to watch Amy Adams lose again, she deserves ALL the awards for Sharp Objects.

So apparently HBO didn't submit Gwendoline, Alfie, or Carice for consideration, they all submitted themselves. I'm guessing HBO submitted actors like Kit, Lena and Peter who had nothing to do this season. Good for the true standouts for submitting themselves (I bet it was expensive af).

I hate that I'll have to watch Amy Adams lose again, she deserves ALL the awards for Sharp Objects. I would not mind seeing Alfie win, even if I think he didn't deserve his nomination for season 8. I think Gwen has a great shot at winning. If Lena wins, it's for total effort and not season 8. There were many of GoT's past seasons that she should have won an Emmy for. I think Emilia is going to lose to Jodie Comer. But I bet she's a strong second. I never thought I'd see the day where I would say, if Emilia Clarke wins an Emmy, she deserves it. Here I am saying just that. No disrespect to Kit at all, I might not be the biggest fan of his acting, but I cannot even judge his acting this season because the character had hardly anything at all to do...but there is no way anyone with a half a brain could have watched Jon Snow and thought that was better than what Richard Madden had to do and did with Bodyguard. Kit got swept up in GoT nomination frenzy. I think Billy Porter or Bob Odenkirk will win that category anyway.
