What are your predictions for the Battle for Winterfell? Will the heroes defeat the Night King and his army? Will they falter and join his ranks? Who do you think done for either way?
Please no spoilers if anything has leaked and you actually know anything.

I don’t think anyone with the last name Stark is dying.
Hound is living because Cleganebowl get hype.
I think Grey sworn is dead. Beric, Jorah, Edd, Tormund, etc are probably goners.
Jaime And Tyrion will be alright.
Sam And Gilly will survive.
Brienne will be okay.
I think it’s gonna be a lot of recurring characters that die. Maybe Davos.

I think Jorah is a goner for sure. Beric, Grey Worm, and Theon may go too.
Gendry I also think is a possibility, as is Ghost, but I hope I'm wrong with both of those.

Okay, I've rewatched the episode so it's all fresh in my head about who is where and who could die.
Whether or not the dead rise from the coffins, the crypts are not safe. There were way too many mentions about how they’re the safest place in Winterfell, so they're definitely not.
Those who are totally safe: Sansa - they’ve set up the question of what happens to the North under Queen Daenerys twice now, and since Jon doesn’t seem to care much about that, Sansa will be the only one to bring it up in the future, so she’s safe. Arya - I just don’t think this is where her story ends. She’s more likely to go off on her own (or with Gendry) at the end, not be killed by White Walkers. It just wouldn’t feel right. (Also, she’s gonna be meeting Melisandre again at some point). Tyrion - similar reasoning as Arya: White Walkers have played next to no role in his story, so he’ll go on. Jon and Dany - these are just the safest bets you could make. Sandor - after that chat with Gregor last season, he’s definitely got more to do.
Most likely safe: Sam and Gilly - Sam I could maybe see going, but I feel like he’s the only person left who could actually have a happy ending (minus a father and brother). Gilly’s fine. Missandei - only way I see her not surviving is if there’s some twist and Grey Worm makes it out okay, but that’s pretty unlikely. Lyanna Mormont - her being "the future of House Mormont" is likely a red herring, and Jorah will die instead.
Those who are totally dead/Most likely dead: Jorah - I’ve made my peace with Jorah dying on more than one occasion and he’s pulled through every time. I want to say with utter certainty that he’s a goner, but you never know. Theon - he’s saved his sister, he’s made his peace with Bran, and he got a hug and stew from Sansa. His life is going way too well, and there is literally no way to move forward with his character any further. Grey Worm - again, life is going too well. His plan to go to Naath with Missandei is the equivalent of "one day away from retirement".
The toss-ups: Varys - Melisandre said he would die in Westeros, which I would assume means before the show ends, and to add to that, the two other eunuchs are going to die, so why not a third? One (but not both) of Jaime and Brienne - again, they’re too happy, and they both got a lot of screentime last episode. On the one hand, I’m not sure where Brienne’s story could go further now that she’s been knighted. But on the other hand, Jaime said in S4 or 5 that he wanted to die in the arms of the woman he loves, and I don’t think that’s Cersei anymore. Beric - if he goes, I imagine he’ll be near Sandor. Davos - maybe he’ll stay on the walls where it’s safe(r), but they could potentially kill off Davos as a shocking emotional moment. I think however he could meet Melisandre one last time, so he could survive. Tormund - maybe yes, maybe no. I have no clue. Pod - he just doesn’t have much to do. Like Davos his death could be shocking and emotional Gendry - his death could be a catalyst for Arya’s potential decision to leave Westeros. Edd - if the White Walker story ends here, so does that of the Night’s Watch and I think Edd will go with it. One (but not both) of Drogon and Rhaegal - they surely wouldn’t kill both remaining dragons, but there’s presumably going to be some dragon vs dragon action, so I’d expect one of them to go down. Ghost - if he dies, hopefully it’s more dignified than the deaths of Shaggydog or Summer. Bran - outside of the White Walker storyline, I’m not sure what kind of role Bran could play. So again, if this is the end of that story, I think he could also go. More importantly, this entire battle will supposedly hinge on keeping him alive, and how often does everything go according to plan for the Starks?
I really hope this episode lives up to the/my hype. Not because I specifically want named characters to be killed off aimlessly, but because I feel like the show needs more consequences and the writers have kinda gotten cold feet about killing off major characters lately. I can only hope this doesn’t end up like "Beyond the Wall" and they end up killing the most insignificant people possible. Maybe I should put Podrick higher...

Quoting Father of Dragons here : "I really hope this episode lives up to the/my hype. I can only hope this doesn’t end up like "Beyond the Wall" and they end up killing the most insignificant people possible. Maybe I should put Podrick higher..." I agree with the above. To me leaving Jon, Dany, Sansa, Arya, Brienne, Jaime and Tyrion alive will show the writer's cold feet. That being said when I look at that list of characters which one would I kill off as my shocking death? It probably would be Dany, but I am sure the writers have more in store for her. My guesses: Definitely dead: Theon, Jorah, Gendry, Edd, Beric and maybe Pod. You might be in danger gurl, characters: Bran, Tormund, Lyanna Mormont, Grey Worm Go ahead and kill: the dragons Better not kill: Varys, Davos, Bran, Ghost, Little Sam Definitely not gonna die: Jon, Dany, Jaime, Brienne, Sansa, Arya, The Hound, Missandei, Sam, Gilly, and Tyrion FYI: PEOPLE ARE CLAIMING TO HAVE TO SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 3--BE CAREFUL OUT THERE.

Ok, this one is a bit out there but bear with me. I saw someone say 'knowledge/history' will die in this episode. The theory is that the Night King will not be at Winterfell, but instead fly to Oldtown and destroy the Citadel and all of the human history contained within, inspired by the burning of the Library of Alexandria. Sam's endgame will be that he will help rewrite some of the history. It's a bit out there, but it's interesting.
As for actual characters, I predict the following will die: Brienne/Jaime (Probably Brienne, but Jaime is my black horse death for this episode)
Beric Edd Grey Worm Tormond
Davos will probably die, but I hope he lives
Jorah - I think he might die redeeming himself in the eyes of his people, perhaps saving Lyanna?
Theon - similarly, I think he'll die protecting Bran.
Ghost - I think they only brought him back to remind people he exists for when he dies next episode.
Varys and Gendry are possibilities, but maybe they'll survive this battle and die later in the season.

Wasn't there a line from someone (maybe Sam?) about how the maesters are the memory of the world? Or maybe that was a book thing. So I guess that idea wouldn't be completely out of nowhere, but it'd still feel so weird if they gave all this setup to the Winterfell battle and jumped down to some place with near no emotional connection to the audience.
That said I have always liked the idea that Sam is gonna get to write down the recent history of Westeros at the end of the series - like he becomes the author of "the song of ice and fire". Maybe with Bran's help if he lives. I'd definitely like that.

Jaime will die heroically, completing his redemption arc. I'm on the fence about Theon, but Grey Worm will definitely die.
Beric will die and The Hound will use his flaming sword to defeat the Mountain.
