I've been reading some Reddit threads about why Solo is underperforming and I'm convinced that the first generation of Star Wars fans are the original neckbeards. These people are constantly screeching about how Kathleen and Rian are forcing pc-culture down their throats and how TLJ ruined their childhoods(same shit as the prequels, how many times can a childhood be ruined when you're a grown ass man?).I hope Disney sticks to their guns and continues to feature characters that are women and POC. That's the future. Here's a compilation: Also I love how "animal abuse and war profiteering are bad" are considered such controversial messages. Like I totally understand complaints about how painfully unsubtle they are, but I don't see how they're so "liberal" or SJW. That was great.

I read something about why Solo might be underperforming which I had not thought of or seen elsewhere. With Infinity War, Deadpool and Solo all coming out within a month of each other -it's just too expensive for people to go to the movies to see all these tentpole films and unfortunately one is going to lose out. And that one seems to be Solo. I know Mr. Kingeomer wants to see it but chances are, we might not get to see it until the end of June and that's if it's still out.

Saw Solo last night. Was actually really good, wasn't bored and didn't feel overly complicated. It had some cool twists at the end. Emilia was great as Qi'ra i must say. Was confused as fuck by the ending with the appearance of Darth Maul, because i don't read the books or anything. I don't know if that was a great choice, would have liked to see a new villian emerge. Also was Qi'ra tempted by the dark side...i'm not quite sure how her motivations make sense.

See that's how I feel about Darth Maul as well and I already knew he was brought back. I don't know if it was a good idea or not. Like it's one thing to reintroduce (to the movies) a character who most people thought was dead, but to bring him back in a movie about Han Solo felt kinda weird.

Yes it kind of bridged the gap between the prequels and old trilogy when the two have been so disconnected previously. It was weird

So ... Kelly Marie Tran, the actress who played Rose in The Last Jedi, deleted her Instagram account because of all the harassment she's received since the movie came out. What the fuck is wrong with people, seriously. How can anyone be so fucking vicious?

Shouldn't really be surprising at this point

What the fuck is wrong with people, seriously. How can anyone be so fucking vicious? I was going to come on here and post that. What is wrong with people? Okay, you (general you) didn't care for The Last Jedi. Maybe Rose wasn't your favorite character. That doesn't make it okay to harass the actress on IG and make racist insults at her to boot. She's just an actress hired to the do a job. She didn't write/direct/produce that movie. It's really sad because she just joined IG right before the release TLJ and basically had said she was hesitant to do so because she really didn't want to have to deal with people dissing her online. Some people really do suck.

I thought Solo was awesome and potentially the funniest SW film yet. “What do you want?” “Equal rights” Droid revolution was fucking gold too.

Maybe this is for the best. They've already got a bunch of stuff in the works, so it could be better to focus on making those instead of other stuff which hasn't been officially announced yet. And honestly I'd be interested in seeing what a "universally accepted" Ep8 would look like.

And honestly I'd be interested in seeing what a "universally accepted" Ep8 would look like. if they do hold off or take their time developing stand alone movies, I think it's for the best. I think they should "remake" Episode 8 and just re-release the same movie.

Holy shit. Just played the most insane game of Rebellion. Empire had no idea really where my base was the whole time, but was able to gain loyalty or subjugate in so many systems. I only had loyalty in two systems by the end, I lost pretty much every battle and couldn’t score any objectives or add new units. Empire had every unit of his on the board except for the second Death Star and a few AT-STs.
He froze Luke in carbonate right after he became a Jedi and then captured Mon Mothma as well. I was down two leaders and he was spread so far out that he really was narrowing down where my base was.
Eventually, he moved a couple units into Ilum, which was my base. Luckily I had enough in my base to beat him and he couldn’t move any units into Ilum until the next turn. I had the last turn that round and had to use the card I played, which is to move up to five units from my base to a space without Imperial Units. I moved them a Mon Cal cruiser and a Corellian corvette into Toydaria, which was surrounded by imperials and could’ve been attacked at any moment. But it was also next to Kashyyyk, where his Death Star was.
Final turn. I either win with one more objective point or lose due to a battle in my base. Rebels go first every turn, so I could’ve done a mission to move my base, but I had so few options since the Empire spread out so much. Instead, I sent my trusted general Han Solo on a suicide mission to Kashyyyk to blow up he Death Star or die trying.
I have my cruiser, two corvettes, an X-Wing, and a Y-Wing. He has eight TIEs and a Star Destroyer. I take out a few ties, he takes out my fighters and a corvette. I need to have a fighter left to blow up the Death Star and I don’t. My final option is to destroy a Star Destroyer and get that last point. I roll perfectly. I take down the Destroyer. General Solo saved the Rebellion!
SWEET VICTORY

I watched Solo and thought it was "meh" It's an ok movie, I did enjoy it more than Rogue One, the characters are more likeable (probably because I already knew them from the previous films), but the story could have been told better and I have the same problem I had with Rogue One: I can't feel any of the tension they try to create because I already know Han and Chewaka will be ok. (Also, sorry but I didn't find Emilia believable, maybe is because she looks so young and innocent with her natural hair but I couldn't see her as the shady badass she was supposed to be)
