So Trump met with members of the video game industry to discuss how violence in games is a threat to kids, whilst flanked by a military nut job who referred to games as "murder simulators" whilst working for an organisation which controls the world's largest drone fleet (aka murder simulators which actually kill people) and the parents television council, a group of over sensative religious parents who would wrap their children in bubble wrap to keep them safe despite the fact they would probably suffocate. All of this despite numerous scientific studies by accredited institutions over the past two decades having found no feasible and solid link between violent video games and manifestation of physical violence. All of this merely to avoid having to actually confront the real issue here. Kids who get their hands on a copy of a violent game like Outlast or Fallout aren't going into schools and murdering their classmates. Kids who get their hands on guns are and it doesn't fucking matter if it's semi automatic, or fully automatic or if its a fucking musket. If it fires a projectile capable of ripping through human flesh, puncturing organs, maiming innocent children then it shouldn't be available to anyone save those who absolutely need it, who are documented, registered and are required to log any weapons they own or purchase. Maybe a kid who plays too many games is gonna develop a serios case of Nintendonitis, maybe a little carpel tunnel, but he probably isn't murdering people left right and center. And what's the excuse when ex-military veterans with PTSD commit mass shootings? Maybe Trump will consider banning the military? Or people who are simply depressed? Maybe he should ban depression too? This is a ridiculous arguement and the idea that people are willing to jump through so many hoops to avoid an issue that is glaringly obvious is so far beyond me that I shouldn't care, but I do, because as someone who enjoys gaming I feel that this scapegoating and alienisation of a pastime is disgusting. After all, what's the next step? Everyone who plays violent games has to be put on a register? Are they all threats to society now because they enjoy playing online shooters with friends, or want to experience a gritty and complex story that they understand they would never, nor should ever experience in reality. It's escapist media. Not to mention for a man who made money off of gambling, the most exploitive and corrosive form of gaming around, that Trump would get a little nervous dropping himself into a discussion like this. But of course those AREN'T video games, so they don't count... Fucking ridiculous. See there's the problem. They simply don't care about scientific studies at all. Head of the EPA Scott Pruitt is proof enough of that. They know fine well video games aren't the problem, and that climate change is real, but thanks to all the money they recieve from their donors they simply don't care.

Sadly true, but still, it's frustratingly obvious yet they seem to look for anything else to blame but the obvious.

Just another casual week where dozens of people, including a former Russian agent were poisoned after exposure to a nerve agent. That's not suspicious. Nah.
That's normal. Nothing to see here. Russia? What Russia? Never heard of it. Now you're just been paranoid.

Ha! In a weird twist of fate my brother works in some kind of pharmaceutical analysis role (I can’t remember the full title) for the MoD...in Salisbury....and he has a lot of overtime right now... Just saying.

Yikes, May’s words on the Russia poisoning were practically an Art. 5 NATO treaty. It will be interesting (and, I’m not going to lie, worrying and scary) to see if; a) Russia makes any meaningful response to avert this, and b) whether May sticks to her guns if they refuse. Shit this is...surreal. And it’s nice to see our infamous allies displaying solidarity with us, that ‘special relationship’ is really paying off I see

And it’s nice to see our infamous allies displaying solidarity with us, that ‘special relationship’ is really paying off I see The House Republicans just finished their "investigation" into the Russia matter and said there was no interference. Our government is a puppet of Putin The only hope for America is that all people get out to vote and vote these knuckleheads out. They've basically maligned the intelligence community. Sadly, no help from the US. I hope May sticks to her guns and the other countries rally around her. Time to make Putin and Trump total pariahs. I say this as an American, I hate to see my country viewed this way, but we are a total shit show right now.

Rex Tillerson: fired. Rex Tillerson's aid: fired for saying Tillerson was not told personally he was fired but found out on twitter.
Some under secretary: fired for financial crimes unrelated to WH or Trump campaign. But he's going to be working on Trump 2020 (No, God no) campaign.

Expelling diplomats is a good start but on its own it’s pretty weaksauce. Of course, any other financial measures that might be a bit stronger would damage Tory/Tory donor’s wealth, and we can’t have that now

Andrew Mc Cabe was fired a couple of days before he could collect on his retirement. Hope he sings to Mueller.

This is some really interesting and also pretty scary stuff. Here's some proper investigative journalism - I'd recommend everyone watch this! It really should be top news everywhere.

Part 2 for those interested, more relating to Trump this time.
So their efforts to spread misinformation seem to be very similar to the alleged actions of the Russians. And like the Russians it wasn't explicitly pro-Trump stuff, more anti-Hillary. That way they could appeal to disgruntled Bernie voters too and kill two birds with one stone. So the only difference really is that alongside the sneaky Russian spies you also have some posh twats helping Trump too.
Unfortunately most pro-Trump folks who see this won't care. Their minds are made up; the videos and adverts they saw were true, and all this stuff coming out is lies and fake news. Oh well.
Also, not mentioned in this report: the CEO Alexander Nix has been suspended by the board. So there's a plus, but he's probably just being scapegoated. He wouldn't have been so arrogant and open in these videos if he didn't have a lot of people behind him.

Oh yeah, there are more like Alexander Nix ready to take his place. I will watch the video when I am at work tomorrow. I'm not going to be able to concentrate on it with two chattering kids and a husband home.
Zuckerberg has emerged from hiding basically trying to save FB's reputation. The sad thing is I know I would leave FB, but it also means that I won't have as much daily contact with family and friends :/
Joe Biden said he would give Trump a beatdown if he was treating women badly in front of him.
Fart says, nah, bro, I'd take you out with the first punch.
Sigh...

Fart fired Mc Master. Idiot John Bolton will take his place as of 4/9/18 Fart's lead lawyer vs. Mueller probe, John Dowd "stepped down" Fart imposed high trade tariffs against China. Who has to be laughing because they not only make Trump products, they make MOST OF THE SHIT AMERICANS BUY THAT MOST OF THE AMERICAN COMPANIES SELL TO US.
