I saw the Buddy Holly Story yesterday! IT WAS AWESOME. The theater had the show last year and many of the same actors returned. The young man who played Buddy Holly was awesome (he played him in 2016). The cool thing was that there was no backing band, the actors were playing the instruments and they did a terrific job. I will say the show managed the end quite well, considering Buddy's death along with the Big Bopper and Richie Valens. It's acknowledged but not dwelled on. The show is moving downtown today to the Kimmel Center so here is link and small video of the cast in rehearsals. www.kimmelcenter.org/events-and-tickets/201617/kimmel-center-presents/buddy-holly/

Her voice is ... interesting, it reminds me a little bit of Bernadette Peters. Not sure I like it. The cadenza at the end was divine, though.

Swoons at Ramin He's so dreamy. He said in an interview that Phantom of the Opera was the reason he decided to become a singer. He saw the show for the first time when he was a young boy, fell in love with it and it became his dream to one day play the Phantom. It's so amazing that he is not actually a classically trained singer, it's all just pure talent. He is my absolute favourite Phantom.

I see Wicked for the third time in August. So hyped. Especially because I am taking the kids and it's their first time going to live theatre outside of the high school plays!

Oh man, this is so well filmed. And Willemijn is such a wonderful Elphaba.

Okay, so the struggle is real. Phantom of the Opera is coming in November. I've already spent money on Buddy Holly & Wicked and have no money for Phantom

Okay, so the struggle is real. Phantom of the Opera is coming in November. I've already spent money on Buddy Holly & Wicked and have no money for Phantom Noo! Though, if it's the US Tour production, perhaps you are better off not watching it. I really hate most of the changes they've made to the tour production. It takes away from the gloominess and mystery of the original stage design by Maria Björnson, and it makes it all colorful and blatant. Also some of the blocking is legit bad, the whole dancing on the table bit during Point of No Return for instance ruins the entire scene for me, unfortunately. But then again, I'm kind of a snob when it comes to this stuff admittedly, so maybe you shouldn't listen to my advice on this. The score of Phantom is divine regardless of what production, and the show is worth watching just for the songs.

I'm not a fan of Cats ... but this song. Joanna Ampil is fabulous, she plays Grizabella in the tour production of Cats which is currently playing in Germany.

Memory is a terrific song. I actually get teary-eyed when I listen to it.
I am pretty sure the Phantom coming to Philly is a US tour production, so what you said makes me feel better about having to miss it.

This is the guy I saw as Krolock on Thursday. He was absolutely phenomenal, his voice was out of this world and he had an amazing charisma on stage. It's a bummer that he is understudy and only gets to play like five or six shows a month, I think he is actually much better than Mathias Edenborn, who is first cast. It was such a great show, omg.

He's amazing.
The costuming and makeup is out of this world.
Saw Wicked yesterday and it's just as great the third time as it was the first. So cool to see and hear my kids be into it!
