Cool, maybe this will explain why Lando is absent from the recent movies! The actual reason is probably because Billy Dee has gotten wildly out of shape (not that its his fault, age does this shit to all of us) but the post-ROTJ section of this book is being described as one last mission for Lando and Han, so I wouldn't be surprised if Lando just retired once the New Republic was set.

OFFICIAL UPDATED CANON RANKINGS 1. Lost Stars 2. Thrawn 3. Bloodline 4. Battlefront II: Inferno Squad 5. Ahsoka 6. Catalyst 7. Leia, Princess of Alderaan (amazing stuff claudia gray is a god) 8. Dark Disciple 9. A New Dawn 10. Rebel Rising 11. Tarkin 12. Aftermath: Life Debt 13. Canto Bight (i wasn't sold over the first story, but the last three are fantastic and its a really fun read if you don't take it too seriously) 14. Aftermath: Empire's End 15. Phasma (idk i mean the interstitial stuff was great, but it was literally mad max in space and it actually made phasma a worse character) 16. Lords of the Sith 17. Legends of Luke Skywalker (two of the stories are so horrendous and so fucking long it moved it this far down my rankings, but two stories are pretty ok) 18. Heir to the Jedi 19. Aftermath 20. Battlefront: Twilight Company Fucking hell I've read like one-and-a-half books in the time it's taken you to read four. One day my list will have 20 books too, mark my words! 1) Bloodline 2) Leia: Princess of Alderaan 3) Lost Stars 4) Catalyst 5) Thrawn 6) Inferno Squad 7) Rebel Rising From a Certain Point of View had a ton of great stories, but also a few which were kinda boring, so I can't really compare it to the rest. I'm about halfway through Ahsoka, then I'll move on to Dark Disciple, then Tarkin, then Phasma. Of course by that time Thrawn: Alliances will be out and I'll probably drop whatever I'm reading to move onto that, so it'll likely be a while before I get to Phasma.this is fine you're not missing anything I didn't put FACPOV on this list because Pablo Hidalgo said that some of the stories are are canon, some aren't, some might be, and some might not be so I don't even know where I would rank it. Most of the non-canon stories are obvious (Dantooine comic, Shakespeare Palpatine, the mouse droid story that literally everyone hates, journal of the whills) and they were probably all my least favorites. Most of the other stories were great, except for the Horn Caper one that was like a million pages.

I don’t understand why so many people think Thrawn could die by the end of Rebels. The first book ended right as he was going to Lothal. The fact that there’s a second book means that he obviously survives.

yay it only took me 5 tries to get 6 star palpatine there is no way i will be able to do 7 I failed at getting 7-star Thrawn more than half a dozen times before I finally got him - trust me a lot of it is down to luck. Keep trying! I have to wait a couple days until I get Kanan to 7 stars anyway. I think my problem is that I used Phoenix but Luke was my leader because Hera is still at 5

Honestly though I'd rather them just focus on making STORIES, not movies. Even though it won't make them as much money. There's one book scheduled to come out this year as of now. ONE. They've widened the fanbase enough that they could sell a ton more books now than they did in the EU era and audiences are going to get sick of movies within the next 5 years I would bet. We don't need a new series of movies and a new trilogy. We need more books, more comics, the new animated series, the live action series...things that will draw enough of an audience to keep them going while they TAKE MORE TIME ON THE MOVIES. The biggest thing that bothers me about the sequel trilogy is that it has (or had at least until recently) three different directors, but not one planned story. Take time. Let Rian figure out his whole trilogy and release them more than 364 days apart. Give us a breather, but give us ancillary material. Sometimes less is more. This is getting to be one of those times. /rant Yes! Cue thunderous applause! I loved Clone Wars because at the time I thought it was the last Star Wars thing I was gonna get, and that made it much more special to me (alongside its great quality of course). If they wanna keep making Star Wars movies til the end of time, then I'd feel better about it so long as they TAKE SOME FUCKING BREAKS! The animated series are some of the best Star Wars has to offer - I'm moved on to rewatching Rebels and I still firmly believe that Twilight of the Apprentice is one of the finest pieces of Star Wars I've ever watched. Holy shit I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it and I've seen it half a dozen times! More things like that! Btw, I know about Thrawn, but is there not also a Padme book out this year or was that not true? The Padme one hasn't been officially announced. Thrawn Alliances is the only officially scheduled thing they have right now.

They'll do well I think. So many people whining on Reddit right now are blaming them for the show's bad writing but tbh I don't blame them for struggling a bit to come up with an ending to an insanely complex story while still needing to stick to what a lazy old man came up with and has not been able to continue. I trust them to be able to write good stories with more creative freedom and not having to stick to a bible that hasn't been finished yet. Benioff has already proven he can do that with City of Thieves. V good book.

I knew it was a wise move to save a Zeta for Palpatine I'm pretty confident I can 7-star R2 when he comes back now! PAlpatine’s unique zeta might be a little too much  Kanan, Ezra, and Old Ben lose 60% health when they’re shocked since they’re both Rebels and Jedi...

lordcarson - that beach scene isn't on Tatooine, but we may still get some Jabba. See any resemblance here? (Tagged because big picture) Yeah, I also saw a toy set that looked like it was Jabba's Palace (Tagged because actual possible spoiler)

You know, I changed my mind. He actually sounds similar to how Harrison did in his early TV work and American Graffiti. I assume Han is 18-20 in this, so it works. I have a feeling this is will end with a successful mission and Han taking his next step into the underworld...arriving at Jabba’s Palace. Isn't the "sandy planet" a beach? I doubt Tatooine has any beaches. It's probably Corellia or somewhere else. But that doesn't rule out the possibility of a Jabba appearance at some point. Even if there's been no news of a Jabba cameo, it's easy to keep that a secret. They kept Yoda secret in TLJ and had to have Frank Oz on set for that. For Jabba you don't need anyone in particular and it'd all be indoors so it's even easier to hide him. Oh I guess it is a beach. I didn't have my glasses on
