What is Mel holding in her hand and looking at in that photo btw? It looks wooden. Might it be the charred remains of Shireen's stag? Maybe Davos will force her to take it to reflect on what she did.

Maybe Meereen is literally 3 minutes of Drogon roasting masters and that's why it's not in the promos? Yeah there's at least 6 scenes Meereen scenes left so I'm not sure they'd fit them all in the finale.

What is Mel holding in her hand and looking at in that photo btw? I was wondering exactly the same thing. Edit to add that I zoomed in and she's examining her fingers. She doesn't have anything in her hands, it is a trick of the light.

As much as I would enjoy watching Kit Harrington and Carice Van Houten fuck have a sex scene, I feel like Jon wouldn't go there with Melisandre. He's definitely got some fascination/attraction to her, but I would be genuinely surprised if they did that. I think Jon sees Mel as a powerful ally (who happens to be hot af) and that's that. He's too tortured to let himself get a little wild.

What is Mel holding in her hand and looking at in that photo btw? Probably my heart. I forgot to post these two: This one too. Though it's essentially the same as the edit I made a page or so back.

I also hope we see the meereen siege too. That will depend on the previously on and title sequence now.

That will depend on the previously on and title sequence now. Fire and Ice. It could not be a more perfect opportunity I think 6x09 would be a great time to showcase the parallels between Jon's fight and Dany's fight for sure, but I also feel like Snowbowl is a much bigger deal with much more at stake right now. It's pretty much a given that Daenerys is going to destroy the slavers even if she has to burn all of their ships to ashes in the water. Since they haven't shown anything of Meereen at all, we have to assume they are either keeping it for the finale or trying to keep it a surprise by hyping Snowbowl more and not mentioning Meereen. IF Daenerys releases her other two dragons to fight alongside Drogon and IF Yara/Theon show up to ram the slaver's fleet from the rear, it could potentially be quite an epic scene that could take 10-15 minutes of 6x09 and still save a majority of the episode for Snowbowl. Biggest argument for having it play in 6x09 is as @konradsmith pointed out earlier - too much crammed into the finale where other stories need central focus (KL, Riverlands, Arya, etc) ... so I really do hope it plays out in 6x09.

The episode is 60 minutes, 57 without title sequence and closing credits. I expect Snowbowl to last at least 25 to 30 minutes and the setup/aftermath is probably another 15 - 20. That adds up to 50 at the most, so my question is what happens to the rest of the screentime? Edit: But then I look at Nezzer's spoilers outline and agree that it's a pretty good prediction.

I imagine we'll get the setup for the siege and the resolution next episode. I'm imagining the Ironborn will arrive in 6x10 and Dothraki arriving around the same time too. Mereen scene will probably happen in between the set up for the battle and the battle itself. also, doesn't Rickon have a scene with Ramsay in Winterfell?

Seems like there are a lot of scenes including the Davos-Shireen realisation and possible confrontation with melisandre. Theres a war council between jon and sansa, Mel&Jon talk, probably Ramsay setup in Winterfell with Rickon. Thats at least 4-5 scenes. Guessing 20 mins set-up, because they also have to introduce the Manderly's. Pre-battle probably 10 mins. Battle another 15 (including the Vale coming to save the day). And about 5 minutes aftermath. So yeh there is an extra 7 minutes that could be used to do something in Mereen. Unless they use that to finish the North this season and have all the other storylines in ep 10.

The JonSa and MeliJondre scenes occur at night, Davos's scene is near sunrise, and the battle is during the day. So I assume to showcase that time passing, they could transition to scenes in Meereen (Dany's chambers being attacked, meeting with Masters, etc) and once Jon marches to Winterfell and Snowbowl begins, the episode stays in Winterfell until the end. But yeah Ironborn arrival and Dothraki charge are definitely in the finale. There's the line where Ramsay says, "Do you like games, little man?", but I have a feeling he says that before he tells him to run down the hill to Jon.

There's even that the scene of LF in the godswood, which I don't think makes sense in 609.

Like the blackwater, the episode will probably have battle hype moments and quiet ones also. Also LF isn't one to lead an army. That will be Royce.

I'm guessing one will be the dreaded LF R+L reveal *Gulp* The others will probably be king the north and Ramsay's death right? Though they may hold a funeral for Rickon, it's the least the could do for the poor little guy.
