Davos is going to find that little stag by the pyre in this episode so it makes sense that Mel's involved. Yeah I think there will be 3 scenes in The North *Davos finding the stag and confronting Mel *Sansa riding for Moat Cailin *Something with Jon and Tormund

Do we know for sure that Sansa actually arrives with LF to Snowbowl or whether he shows up on his own? I'm not sure why she needs to go down there if she's already asked for his help via raven. Manderly is probably not appearing until E9 at the earliest.

Presumably the Captain of the Tower casting call could be a dude at Moat Cailin.

It seems weird that she'd just take off at this point. Why does she need to go? LF says he's ready for her word to help and she just sent word. Her hauling ass down to Moat Cailin seems unnecessary. Also the Truede spoilers have her telling Jon that Rickon's already dead before he Jon tries to save him and that would mean she'd have to be there at the start of the battle, not show up at the end.

If she doesn't ride down there, she'd probably stay behind at the camp with Mel until LF arrives while the battle occurs, but Doc's leaks said that she was with LF when they arrive near the end of Snowbowl. WotW said Sophie was filming near the Battlefield. I think one of the deleted posts from Doc or Truede said that Jon knows the KotV are coming, he just doesn't know when. So maybe Sansa tells Jon the truth about LF and the Vale before Snowbowl occurs too. She told Jon that they need more men anyway and there's the scene from the trailer where it's night time and she looks worried.

I thought ep 9 would strictly be the battle in the North. Maybe Manderly switched sides mid-battle? and his speech about loyalty to the starks is delivered once they win? Who knows, but it seems a tad late in ep 9 to me... Jaime... sigh. I wonder how the Hound is going to mix into all of this

If Jon knows the KoTV are coming, then I wonder if the original plan is to simply get there and wait to engage but Ramsay starts things earlier than Jon wants by doing the Rickon bit which enrages Jon and causes him to attack earlier than planned. That would make more sense strategy-wise than Jon saying "oh well, hope the reinforcements show up before it's too late, let's start this thing anyways."
I also thought I'd read something some time ago where they describe Snowbowl as the first battle where we see a more strategic staging, involving more tactics and whatnot. They've already said it's the most complicated and involved battle they've shot so far on the show.

Yeah I remember reading somewhere that Snowbowl was one of the hardest sequences to shoot and that it's a full scale battle, larger than Blackwater, Castle Black, Hardhome so I think strategy and tactics will definitely play a role.

Well, I know those leaked synopsis seem to be fake, but what you described would match well the "Ramsay surprises his audience" and "Jon retaliates" parts from epidose nine. Just thought it would be interesting to mention!

That's because the person who faked them was privy to the same Snowbowl info as we are.

I thought ep 9 would strictly be the battle in the North. It also has Tyrion, Dany, and Missandei.

Asking because I need to know if that is also the episode I need to watch live like ep. 8 and finale Ricky Champ (outlaw) tweeted that the next two episodes would be very exciting. I don't know if this means the outlaws are now in 3 episodes instead of 2. We know the Freys' roles were expanded from 3 to 4 episodes so it's possible.

Eh...don't care for anyone involved there other than Davos and that's not enough for me to watch it live. No Riverlands though, right? Though I don't think BwB will cross paths with Freys this season anymore, maybe, but the hanging that is more likely now is either Brienne or Sandor than Freys who are for sure in Twins in finale

Wonder if Sibel Kekilli makes it to the opening credits too? Bet she doesn't get a cold open, though
