does he mention anything about the knife to Edmure's throat or any of that stuff? He said that Edmure doesn't surrender under the threats to Edmure's life. He makes an interesting comparison here. He talks about Guzman el Bueno on Tarifa's siege: Wouldn't be surprised if Edmure is the big death this episode.

What is with the writers bringing back every missing character from S3 and killing them?

What is with the writers bringing back every missing character from S3 and killing them? They're a really unlucky group. The returning cast members from season 4 and 1 seem to be doing just fine, though.

Now watch Gendry returns mysteriously in KL in 608, but then appears in the finale inside the sept for Cersei's Trial and dies when she obliterates it with wildfire.

What is with the writers bringing back every missing character from S3 and killing them? That's the price for wishing the characters to leave the "Abadoned storyline boat" that Gendry is rowing.

On the other hand, i'm surprise about Edmure's death. I expected Blackfish to die due to Edmure being the heir and all.
I want to bet the Tullys is going to go extinct by the end of the season or next.

But I wouldn't hold my breath for any house not to go extinct before the end of the series (other than Starks and maybe Lannisters).

I got caught up in a random article that linked to another that outlined the now extinct truede reddit posts so I am leaving the BWS (Brotherhood Without Spoilers) with a sinful conscience to pursue the knowledge once again. Well at least until the finale. Then I'm going to try my best to stay unsullied! PS: I could find nothing about Daenerys which is what I was originally after in the first place. What irony!

I've got a odd feeling that we may see a robin Arryns death at the start of next series, most likely poisoned by Littlefinger, so House Arryn will be toast, Dany and Jon will most likely die by the shows end so House Targaryen is finished. The Tyrells may survive in the books, but in the show I doubt many will be left. House Martell is also finished in the show, as is house Tully. House Bolton is pretty much dead, I can't see the Freys surviving either. The Umbers and Karstarks also appear to be on wobbly legs. Barring Tyrion, the Lannisters are dead. Also, in the books, the Velaryons are down to a single boy as Lord, the Bar-Emmons are too. Damn. That's a lot of houses that will be lost by the end of this. Makes you wonder how the hell the Starks or Durrandons survived as long as they did...

Yeah, Meereen seems to be a big mystery, which is nice. Same goes for the Riverlands and Oldtown.

I kind of like the fact that great houses are going extinct. It gives more weight to the situation and how impactful war, greed, vengeance, and love can really be.

Not only that, but Greyjoy may also go extinct due to the higher chance of Yara and Euron dying and Theon is no longer able to produce the heir.
So that leaves...
The Starks are hard to kill! Ironically the Starks could be, just maybe, be the last great house to stand at the end of the series given all the shit they endured.

Funny that Cersei was threatening Margaery with the extinction of House Tyrell in the Sept of Baelor in season 3. Considering that (allegedly) she makes House Tyrell go extinct in the Sept of Baelor in season 6.

Considering that (allegedly) she makes House Tyrell go extinct in the Sept of Baelor in season 6. Another one to rewatch with this in mind is her scene with Olenna in 304 while Joffrey was walking with Marge. IIRC it was the first time we saw the inside of the Sept (though Marge also talked about the High Septon in 301) and it really sets up a lot of the dynamics that have played out since then between Cersei, Marge and Olenna, particularly in regards to Marge using populism and religiosity against Cersei and setting up the greater rivalry of Cersei versus Olenna which will come to the fore now in s7. Like Jorah eventually getting Greyscale instead of JonCon being alluded to i n ep. 207 in his Quaithe scene, I think (if indeed this is a change from GrrM's plans, such as they are) that the Sept-blowing-up-with-Tyrells-in-it is something they've been planning for quite a long time.

Yeah that scene was actually very remarkable because it planted the seeds for Cersei's rivalry with Olenna and Margaery, the common people's love for Margaery, and Cersei's disgust/fear of the common people. I kind of wish Cersei would be present for the Castamere-ing ala Walder Frey at the Red Wedding, but it seems that she'll be drinking alone in her bedroom when all this is going down.

I'm sure we'll get some Lena Headey smirking and some celebratory drinking at the very least.
