i'm wondering if the connection between brans visions are to do with the wildfire.
Wildfire is produced by pyromancers, i'm guessing they use spells and such to make it. I'm wondering whether it can be used to kill white walkers? i mean it is not too far fetched. dragonfire would probably work and they say wildfire burns hot. hotter than a normal flame.
Other than showing the mad king for background info purposes, it seems obvious to me that the clue and key to this whole thing (defeating the NK) could lie beneath the hills of KL. and that's what 3ER could be wanting to show Bran. It's definitely possible imo that BR gave the Mad King visions to get him to make the wildfire for future use. He is probably sad because, you know it fucked up all of westeros but its all serving this greater purpose. Hopefully it pays off.

If Sam had not taken the sword no there would be no future involvement by Randyll Tarly , I don't know what that means. However would like to see what James Faulkner does with that role.

No one said anything about Hodor.
Bran, you just messed that kid's life and used him as a meatshield, you should fucking mention him.

Guys, can we just have a moment of joyful silence for an episode without Peter Dinklage? (I have nothing against Peter, btw, but it was the right decision to leave him out this time. ) I was glad (no offense to any of these actors or their characters, except Ramsey who I am plain sick of) to have a Tyrion, Missaendi, Grey Worm, Jon, Sansa, & Ramsey free episode. So looking forward to Sam carrying Heartsbane on his back indefinitely. (Hopefully till the end of the series). Me too. That was my favorite part of Horn Hill. Where will Gilly and Baby Sam go when Sam is in Oldtown? I did like how quietly disappointed Jaqen looked when he learned Arya failed. When he told the Waif to "make sure she doesn't suffer" I felt like he felt 50% bad about it. i'm wondering if the connection between brans visions are to do with the wildfire. He is probably sad because, you know it fucked up all of westeros but its all serving this greater purpose. Hopefully it pays off. I think you could be right here. I am also thinking what if the Mad King visions are a warning of what Cersei might do in the future as well. No one said anything about Hodor. Bran, you just messed that kid's life and used him as a meatshield, you should fucking mention him. Well, I'll cut Bran and Meera some slack in this episode...they were chased down by wights and then rescued by his long missing uncle who is now part ice zombie. It would be a fail on the writing if at some point Hodor is not mentioned between Bran and Meera. But then again, was Jojen mentioned after he died?

But then again, was Jojen mentioned after he died?I think that's quite different - Bran didn't appear at all in Season 5. I assume it has been some months between them arriving at the cave and Bran's reintroduction in 6x02.

Sam's going to mass produce Valyrian steel weapons for his friends up north! No mention of Hodor or Summer was a bit annoying. Summer even more so. He was Bran's other half, ffs. I was bummed by Summer's death, but it was a symbolic gesture that winter is coming.

I just realized, Jaime just became Lord of the Casterly Rock. I was expecting that to be mentioned when Cersei told him to go stand at the head of their army.

Alright I'm saying it. I'm tired of Cersei not doing anything. I'm tired of her having scenes with the same two people. She's needs to get off her ass and do shit.

I tend to think people get impatient and say a character isn't doing anything when a character's arc gets talk-heavy (and they're actually doing a lot), but even I admit that her story really does feel stagnant so far this season, despite the fact that so much is happening.

So, I was watching the inside the episode and apparently the Three-eyed Raven is a position not a person. So, now a part of this magical position is now part of Bran, I wonder then if in the future we will see Bran training the next 3ER. Also, with Bloodraven being a Valyrian and Bran being a Stark, does the position go from Fire to Ice? That would be cool but perhaps it's more likely tat because Bloodraven was also a Blackwood, it's all Ice.
Also, D&D mentioned that the only children Dany will have are the dragons, is this confirmation that she'll never have any real children. That makes me sad because the quickening of her wound in ADWD gave me the impression that she might indeed have a living child in the end.

Bran is having who knows how many visions while being chased by the undead and reuniting with his half-corpse uncle. Boy needs some time to process.

Cersei has been politically hobbled. The Queen of Thornes spelled out her sad reality last week. The entirety of the capital lost respect for her after the walk of shame. She really doesn't have many moves she can play right now. She's relying on the UnGregor to destroy her enemies, but until that happens she can't overextend herself, and she's smart enough to know that. That's why I'm more excited than ever about Cersei's story, it's the first year she's had to be cautious, and when this girl is playing her moves carefully, damn she can be dangerous.

I just realized, Jaime just became Lord of the Casterly Rock. You know what...I just belatedly realized that reading your post. Somewhere in Westeros Hell, Tywin is doing a happy dance. Alright I'm saying it. I'm tired of Cersei not doing anything. I'm tired of her having scenes with the same two people. She's needs to get off her ass and do shit. Yeah. I tend to think people get impatient and say a character isn't doing anything when a character's arc gets talk-heavy (and they're actually doing a lot), but even I admit that her story really does feel stagnant so far this season, despite the fact that so much is happening. I feel like Cersei is a cat waiting to strike. We have not seen her reaction yet to Tommen's pledge to ride or die with the High Sparrow. She's quite confident in the Mountain handling her business at the trial. She's quite confident that Jaime will settle things in the Riverlands. It's hard waiting for her to be proactive rather than reactive, which she has been most of this season.
