Not a parallel to the show, but to the book of Revelations.

This isn't a parallel to season 6, but I loved how the Night's King killing blow on the Three-Eyed Raven was extremely similar to Kylo Ren's on Lor San Tekka, since both were played by Max von Sydow.

@moiaf , here's another parallel that we discussed in the leaks thread earlier. Benioff mentions that in the Inside the Episode video too.

If I had energy I'd make a gifset of Sansa seeing The War of 5 kings during PW and Arya watching the play

Echoed lines:
"Let's go murder them." Euron Greyjoy 6x05 "Let's go kill them." Tyrion Lannister 2x09
"Who said anything about him?" Varys to Tyrion 5x01 "Who said anything about him?" Tyrion to Varys 6x05

I'm probably seeing parallels that aren't here with this but Bran overreaching in this episode rang familiar. Back in the pilot he is warned by Catelyn not to climb around Winterfell, since it's too dangerous. What does he do? He climbs around, sees something he shouldn't see and it has disastrous consequences.
Now in Season 6 he's equally exploratory in his dreamscapes, roaming around uncovering things he shouldn't be able to see. The Three Eyed Raven warns him not to stay too long, not to stretch his exploration too far since it's too dangerous. Then what does he do, he explores a vision by himself, sees something he shouldn't see and it has even more disastrous consequences, not only for him but for Hodor, Summer and potentially the whole world. Bloody Bran, he's always been to curious for his own good.

Genius, symbolic and haertbreaking foreshadowing made by Martin 20 years ago and repeated in show (I posted it in discussion about E5, but it fits here as well): The first words spoken TO Hodor in the series: T/L*: Hodor!H: Hodor? T/L*: Help Bran down the hall.* Maester Luwin in books

@moiaf , here's another parallel that we discussed in the leaks thread earlier. Thanks! Here are a few more comparisons: While the Others symbols are full of death, Dany's are full of life. well, life and the death to pay for it in the case of drogo's pyre.
