Ozzy Man's 6x03 Review is up! He's quite pumped about this episode. He has some cheeky hilarious summaries for the various characters as usual and once again his actual review section is full of insight and very cool parallelism between "Oathkeeper" the episode and "Oathbreaker" which warrants some thought and praise on our part. Ozzy is one smart lil' Aussie!

Eek, this is getting spoilery... Yep, when I sense spoilers I have to pull a The helmets should have been a give away too: Gods that thing on Trant's head looks hideous ... like every 'helm' ever made in MMO's that I have to turn off in settings. But Dayne and Hightower's helms are tight! But the stats are too good to ignore.

I can't tell you how many times I've rewatched Max von Sydow saying "EVERYTHING".
Nina Gold deserves a spot in Valhalla.

Miscellanea Surprised , for some reason, that Khal Moro was not one of the Dothraki who escorted Dany into the Dosh Khaleen temple(?). Impressive set compared to first season.
Did we know Souad Faress was playing High Priestess of the Dosh Khaleen? Faress has done a ton of TV tho I think this is the first time I have noticed her! She was good.
They finally took Dany's silver dragon choker.

I also thought she was very good in her role and convincing as just a little sympathetic and a little intimidating. I also agree with archiechvyalthan re-watch appreciation for Von Sydow - his voice is truly magnificent as Three Eyed Crow. We are fortunate to have him on the show to enjoy. My re-watch yielded this interesting ponder ( No Spoilers! There aren't any that I know of on this topic): How do you all think Sam is going to handle his Father's obvious outrage at him bringing a girl home with a baby? I foresee Sam being a lot more 'stand-up' brave than he was back before he left for the wall so perhaps that change will be just enough to keep his Father from flying off the handle and doing something awful like throwing Gilly and baby out the door or worse? I also think Gilly is going to stick up for Sam because he has always stuck up for her and protected her. I foresee a little wildling spark coming out of her and she'll proclaim him a hero who saved her life and killed a White Walker. That at least might be impressive to dear ol' Dad who is supposedly so intimidating he makes Tywin Lannister look like a kitten. I can't wait to see that scene!

I mean, yes, in this world, that is an outrage, especially on a wildling girl, especially when you were a member of the Night's Watch, but his dad hated him for being a coward. Might this make him respect him more? I wonder if they'll comment on the fact that that kid is obviously not biologically his kid. I love the idea of Gilly not knowing when to speak and therefore speaking out of turn and taking up for her man. That would be sweet.

I kind of think we'll see what an ass Randall Tarly is but he might actually be proud of the idea that Sam has a child...or super hate the idea because in his mind it will be Sam can't even stick to his vows and gets with a Wilding girl. I am sure Gilly will have no time for Randall's crap though.

Randyll does seem like the Wildling-hating type, so I doubt he'll be too pleased. Maybe if it was just a whore he'd feel differently? Actually, no, he also seems like the bastard-hating type too. Um, maybe he just hates everyone; Wildlings, bastards and cowards alike. Regardless, he's probably not a very nice man and he probably won't appreciate Sam bringing a Wildling and her bastard into his home

I really hope Meereen picks up soon because it's the only storyline that hasn't really clicked for me (not counting Sam and Dorne, who only had 1 scene). So far.... The Wall = Beautifully done all around Beyond the Wall = Very exciting King's Landing = Amazing build-up Braavos = Turned great again in episode 3 The North = Surprisingly strong so far The Iron Islands = One of the best intros ever Vaes Dothrak = Nice build-up, and it will probably be great next episode Meereen is struggling in comparison. The city feeling completely empty doesn't exactly help. Personally I think only lacking Meereen scene has been the one between Tyrion and Missandei & Grey Worm. Tyrion's eunuch jokes are getting bit too repetitive, but otherwise it has been good. Tyrion and Varys' banter in episode 1, the dragon scene in 6x02, and now the scene between Varys and the whore. Missandei & GW are boring as fuck, but that's not news to anyone, right? Dany's storyline has been the most boring so far IMO. Dorne is not boring, really, it's just utter shit. It'll probably get good next episode, with Drogon burning shit down, and Jorah & Daario arriving, though. Dothraki are pretty lame (ugh their jokes ), and the storyline over all has been pretty weak.

The Dothraki of season 1 never spoke like that. I understand that these are different people and Dany's in a different position, but when Drogo did his big speech in 107, it didn't come off as immature 'frat boy' kind of stuff. Hopefully that type of dialogue will change when they either die or serve Dany.

every human society that ever existed or will exist has its frat boy types. They are not representative of everyone, and nor are they in this scene really. They are a little drunk on having power, for now, over a beautiful woman.

I'm really looking forward to dothraki attacking Westeros Assuming that Dany unites them behind her, they'll obviously be used as her main cavalry. Westeros should be on full winter-mode soon, dothraki are half-naked all the time. Them facing one proper army of armoured knights will be funny too. The rapist savages won't stand a chance.

All good thoughts on how Tarly may react to Sam's arrival with gilly and baby .... I hope his Mother is strong enough to protect her because as horrible as Tarly was to his son I can't imagine what he might do to Gilly!

Just sounds a little too 'modern' for me in this world. Seems a tad out of place

I'm curious how Randyll will react to Sam wanting to be a maester. In the books he chained Sam to his bed when he found out his son wanted to study in Citadel.

On the show right now von Sydow and Jonathan Pryce could take rats ass poor dialog and finesse it to gold with their speaking voices. I know it is an actors craft but they are grand masters (as is Charles Dance). Sam said it with his body language, he knows his father, but must know his mother has some influence so he is willing to take a chance. Didn't Sam have a brother too?
