There will be talk of settling the Wildlings in "the Gift," and Stannis and his army will be traveling through there as well. But, I'm expecting a lot of unpleasant "gifts" of people and their lives. Mel will want to sacrifice Shireen to the Lord of Light. Olenna will try to give the High Sparrow and "the gods" the gift of Cersei in exchange for her grandkids. Mr. Ekko may give Tyrion to Dany...maybe? Ramsey will give Sansa the gift of someone flayed...dear gods, don't let it be Brienne or Pod! And then we have people with gifts that could be on display. Jorah will display his gods-given gift: combat. Jon will display his gods-given gift: warging. I don't think settling wildlings in the Gift will be the focus, or really even mentioned. It seems Jon will have his scene with Thorne, probably one with Sam too, and then he's off, plus it hasn't been addressed at all as an issue - it seems like Jon is taking them all with them. The most likely meaning is as you say Stannis travelling through on his way South. Although if they're that far North, I can't imagine we'd be seeing Yara near there, so maybe there's no literal connection to being in the Gift at all. |

I don't know why but I always assumed Stannis' breastplate was regular sized and covered over my his jacket thing, but now we can see just how tiny it truly is.  |

I don't know why but I always assumed Stannis' breastplate was regular sized and covered over my his jacket thing, but now we can see just how tiny it truly is. I imagine Ramsay won't have much trouble killing him then  |

Also, I can't help but feel like there's some kind of parallel/similarity between Jaime being imprisoned here and Arianne being imprisoned in the books

High def - what is my baby holding? Can't tell. Too distracted by Stannis' beard. Dollars to donuts we get a Davos and Shireen scene with Davos giving her whatever he was carving in "Kill the Boy." Also, if he gives her a toy I'm saying that Davos is doomed like a doomed thing. |
