That'd be two big cliffhangers, if my predictions are right. Euron's attack on Oldtown and the Wall falling. The Riverlands might be left as a cliffhanger too in terms of Arya finding Nymeria with her wolfpack and Red Wedding 2.0. It will be a cliffhanger all right.... I know this has nothing to do with season 6, but this is a really fascinating Stephen Dillane interview where he basically says he didn't enjoy or understand the series, and that he wasn't enthusiastic about his character either. While it's not totally surprising, it blows my mind how utterly brilliant he was if he honestly wasn't invested that much. But you can never fully trust an actor. Anyone who watched episodes 9 and 10 of season 5 can see that he gave those scenes everything he got. It was amazing to behold. And it's hilarious to read this in his Stannis voice, of course. winteriscoming.net/2016/03/16/stephen-dillane-stannis-admits-he-didnt-enjoy-game-of-thrones/We are talking about it extensively in Confessions thread which is filthy but hey, sometimes we discuss stuff there too I cannot blame Stephen for any of this. The writers wasted the character and Stephen's talent for YEARS. But honestly I bet an actress in the show would get a LOT more backlash if she said something like this. I don't think so. Nowadays PC crowd makes sure women don't get much backlash and in the show seen as something that uses women for sex scenes and too much nudity there wouldn't be much backlash And what makes you think so? idk just imagine if sibel kekilli said something like this for example. 95% of the reddit comments would probably tell her to stop being so "ungrateful" because of her past in porn and the others would be about "good riddance" bc they didn't like her performance. this isn't meant to be shade @ stephen dillane in any form btw. i just can't help but observe how much easier men it have in pretty much every single way lol Well Sibel was in porn...so that kinda sets her apart from other women in the show. But if Sophie Turner who broke through with the show said this it would be ungrateful unless she would target the way they wrote Sansa in s6 in which case her lashing out would be justified and admirable. I'm kinda against her that she didn't say anything about how appalling her character was treated there. Gratitude should have its limits too

Why should Sibel having done porn set her apart from the other women, though? Because she has done porn? And that sets her apart from the other actresses in which way? I don't get how that correlates to the discussion.

Yeah, this sounds much better and I'm glad this is what he said. He sounds much more like the professional I took him for, so that's a good thing. Cannot read what Stephen said because of malware warning there So it was from the same interview after all, people just ignored the other bits because that made for a better story I guess. Here's the pertinent bit.

These older actors really have class. I mean he is still mindful of producers even though they really have nothing to do with his career. I think he is being even overly nice considering how much they wasted him on the series

So I don't think being underused or misused was something that bugged him.

That directly contradicts the other quote where he said he didn't understand the phenomenon, so I take it the other one was a deliberately misleading translation? I don't see a problem in any case, to be honest. He has every right to like or dislike the show. He gave us an awesome performance, which is his only job. You could tell he had chemistry with Liam and Carice so it's no surprise they had a blast together!

Gratitude should have its limits too maybe on places like tumblr people would defend a woman. but lol places like reddit, youtube and pretty much all other places are very sexist. and why should sibel doing porn be something that differentiates her from the other women? it was a job for her that got the bills paid. i don't think its fair to expect the actors to speak out against their employers. in fact, i would say its kind of important that they're fairly diplomatic in public. sophie is also very young and its not right to expect her to be a SJW mouthpiece. that being said, some actors for me have definitely crossed a limit for some of the things they've said about the show. i no longer respect nikolaj coster waldau and natalie dormer because a lot of the things they've said are really stupid, gross and sexist imo (but thats a whole another topic)

I don't think she deserves the consideration the other actresses on the show get who didn't choose to degrade themselves. Sophie is young but that doesn't mean she has the right to act naive and dumb. I don't know what Dormer and NCW said that you are referring to. I know Nikolaj chose poor words to speak about the rape scene but it was an impossible situation where the show runners and the director completely failed their actors

I just won't ever defend a woman who did what she did. I think it is puzzling a show that at some point, way back, aimed to be respected hired her. But from what I have gathered she straighten up her life, good for her. But the other actresses on this show got where they are for their hard work and integrity. And that is a crucial difference.

The show atm appears to be aiming at cheap shots and shock value. It's a natural reaction to what appeals to young audience these days

Ok, I was listeing to the L7R podcast and Javi more or less confirmed that Yara is probably somewhere in Essos, He didn't say where she is, but he said that is a place "really far away from the Iron Islands" and describe it as "exotic"....
He also confirmed that the scene in which the Dothraki are charging was shoot in Almeria (I am pretty sure the scene was filmed in Yesos quarry as the scene with the sons of the harpy we saw in the making of) He also said that he was really surpised that scene was in the trailer because it was from the very end of the season.
He also said that there is a character that dies this season whose death is really really surprising. I think is somebody from the North or Riverrun storyline because of previous comments of his, but it could also be from Essos I suppose. He got the information from an extra and is something that only he and the people from WotW know.
