Eyy. My second name is Harald. I still think it's Karstarks siding with the Boltons and Umbers siding with the Starks. Well I think the Umbers will at least pretend to be on the Boltons side in the beginning of Snowbowl. When Shaggydog sees that Smalljon is with Ramsay, he'll bite Smalljon's fingers off. Smalljon will become infuriated, but then say "Your meat... is bloody tough" and start laughing hysterically before joining the Starks.

Thinking about Sam's story, since we now know he will be taking a boat, he will probably stop at Oldtown before heading to Horn Hill. Maybe Sam is given a glass candle and told to light it? Getting it to burn could be a good way to end his story this season. It also means he wouldn't have to be in Oldtown much if he is allowed to talk the candle with him. I am going off of the assumption that we will only get a little of Oldtown because of the lack of casting news for there. i want to see more Oldtown. But yeh i think you're right. The season will probably end with the threat of Euron raiding Oldtown, but the glass candle is a good 'problem' for him. I think the green recruit is a frey.

It would be a nice callback to Season 1, but that was the Greatjon moment. His son should have something similar, but not almost exactly the same scene.

I would think Euron will be on his way to raiding Oldtown after the kingsmoot and his invasion of the Reach so I think once Sam drops Gilly off at Horn Hill, he'll return to Oldtown and possibly prepare for Euron's attack. It could be possible that some of Sam's scenes in Oldtown with the maesters were filmed indoors because they take place inside the citadel. Though you're right, unless the casting news was kept secretive, we've really heard of nothing that could lead to Marwyn.

The casting calls described Smalljon as "a savage warrior and a massive bear of a man with a beard and temper to match, hatred that runs deep, and violent" so yeah I'm assuming we will see him in a furious rage at some point. It could be on the battlefield, in his meeting with Ramsay. I just find it odd that he's in 2 episodes because does that mean he's likely to die in Snowbowl or he'll drift into the background during the finale.

We know now that he's still in Braavos as late as a Jack Bender episode but really he could leave shortly afterwards. After all it's the Waif chasing Arya when she starts to escape, not him. Which isn't evidence of him leaving really...but I think him being in Oldtown in the books is important enough for him to be shoehorned there in the show for late s6. Also that would keep Tom W. onscreen going into s6.
Typing this now I'm pretty sure I've written this exact same comment before point-for-point (except for the new Jack Bender info).

Eh, it doesn't matter. I've been repeating myself in the speculation thread for months too. But yes I'm pretty sure we discussed what the Faceless Men could be up to in Oldtown. Edit: I must have written "Where's the fucking trailer!" and "Snowbowl Fucking Confirmed" about 300 times.

Exactly and you have @nictarion here celebrating every Dany spoiler there is because we've gotten a shit ton compared to other storylines, @fireandblood has already been starting Queen in the North rallies in the streets of Scotland, but someone like Nezzer must be shitting himself because he knows that the Boltons might not make it out alive this season.

One can hope. Time for some justice in the North!

I've made peace with it already, as my hype for SNOWBOWL is much bigger than my love for the Boltons. Hopefully some good will come of it as well, like Jon embracing raw ruthlessness and the power of R'hllor, burnign people alive with Mel as his right hand, and the Starks in general becoming much darker characters. I still want to see an evil Stark in this story. Mad Queen Daenerys would also be a pretty nice development to me, I hate holier-than-thou characters

I knew that comment would prompt Nictarion to make a post that contained a emoticon.

Nnnnope She's ruthless but only to people who supposedly had it coming, and she still has noble intentions. Her holier-than-thou attitude is still somewhat intact.

Jon becoming hard and ruthless like the Starks of old and then facing Dany went mad would be scenario for me. The Hound killing a dragon (Rhaegal) would also be great.

We got info that Sam will stop at Oldtown before Horn Hill? Thought it was stop at Horn Hill on the way to Oldtown?

After that Sam leaves to become a maester.

This makes sense, but we did get confirmation that Sam speaks with a maester in early season, and that the Randyll family dinner will be in eps 5/6 Edit: ninja'd by Roose
