Though as shitty as it would be for all of us playing the waiting game, not getting a trailer would probably in the end improve the viewing experience at least a tad. I mean, I'm sure we'll get one at some point between now and then, but the more in-the-dark we are it might all work better. Maybe this is karma for the spoiler avalanche back in September

That trailer was incredibly awesome, maybe their best to date. Personally I felt the first half of the season totally lived up to it, the second not quite.

Apparently the site with the Liam Cunningham interview deleted this bit (although it can still be read at WOTW)
"The first episode to kick off with [Melisandre] – without saying anything again – is astonishing. There’s absolutely amazing stuff coming up, just so left of field. Just watching your and my favourite characters being put in these situations that are just so unpredictable and just so unexpected – it’s one of the trademarks of the show"
So.... someone wasn't happy with that being published?

Why are they trying so hard to hide what we all know they're about to do?

Why are they trying so hard to hide what we all know they're about to do? But would that really be the very first scene of the season? That sounds weird. And Carice said Mel would undergo a crisis of faith this season. Doesn't make sense if she resurrects him immediately.

I mean that image is cool, but the Mountain works for Cersei, why would he kill him? Because the Mountain is a brutal monster and if Cersei sends him to kill Margaery after she wins her trial, Tommen could get in the way and be killed himself. Nah, I dunno it's really horrible speculation on my part. Cersei being super scared/paranoid: If anyone so much as touches me, kill them. *Mountain kills Marg, Tommen grabs a hold of Cersei* Tommen: What are you doing? *Mountain turns Tommen into a folding chair*

Why are they trying so hard to hide what we all know they're about to do? Last season , hiding that Jaqen was the Kindly Man, big deal. Didn't spoil any thing for me. Or glimpse of Drogon showing up at the pit, a quick cut would have heighten the anticipation. Seems a 'marketing' ploy by D&D to do these things , not entirely sure why.

I don't think they are , it might not be marketing but they seem to do small things like this every season.

Her homeboy Bobby gets the order to kill everyone in the throne room, and before she knows it, he's presenting with a Tommen-kebab.

I personally hope that Robert Strong does not kill Tommen. It would be very cheesy and predictable imo.

Well I personally hope that the Night's King sees that he cannot destroy humanity, because God Bran will stop him. Once the Wall falls, the NK rushes to King's Landing and forces Qyburn to send FrankenMountain back in time to kill Cat so Bran is never born. God Bran, seeing that FrankenMountain will succeed, locates GravediggerSandor and sends him back in time to protect his mother. GravediggerSandor destroys FrankenMountain and bangs Cat, becoming Bran's father. In a future installment, a FrankenMountain that has been warged by God Bran is sent back in time to protect young Bran from a WightGiant that the NK created and sent back. After the WightGiant fails, the NK never attempts anymore time traveling bullshit, because there are no more interesting stories to be had doing that. There is a miniseries of following Cat during the second War for the Dawn though. I heard it was okay.
