Arya? And show or book Daario? Both Daarios, and Arya because she's an annoying brat who barks far too much with her insolent bravado. She's more annoying than a dying chicken when defending Gendry from Melisandre in the show. OMG you are DEAD to me! Arya is one of my favorite character in the books - though other characters have really made an impression on me more on the show than the books (Brienne, Sansa, Jorah etc) I really cannot pick a favorite character because I like so many of them for many different reasons. That's why GRRM has such hooks in readers I think. Because not only is it impossible to have one 'hero' or 'villain' due to there being very little black and white in the book - but also because so many of the characters are unique and interesting and described in such detail it's hard to imagine the story without them. I supposed if I was forced to pick a top 3 it would be: 1. Tyrion 2. Arya 3. Jon

My top five would have to be (in no particular order, apart from Sandor, he's #1): - Sandor Clegane
- Joffrey
- Brienne
- Olenna
- Varys
Sandor! I forgot about Sandor! I so hope he made it to grave digger status and will come 'round again.

@daveyjoe - I don't think I've ever heard your reasons for wanting cleganebowl to happen so badly. I read lots of the LSH arguments from sati and crew and it makes sense to me (though I've stopped keeping my hopes for it) - but cleganebowl is one missing character I can't seem to reason out logically. IF the gravedigger is actually Sandor, and IF they are going to actually cast/film the Quiet Isle and IF he actually hears of Cersei's trial by combat and the Faith looking for a champion and agrees ... (lotta IFs there!) That means one of two things: 1. The Franken-Mountain loses to Sandor and Cersei loses her trial and is executed? Does not really sound very likely in the overall scheme of the story ... Maybe we just think she's too big to go down yet? 2. The Franken-Mountain wins against Sandor and he dies. Seems like a lot of build-up and extra filming to return him to the story only to have him die. Sure, they did the same with Oberyn so it's possible, but is it plausible? Do you want Sandor to fight an epic duel with his brother for the fight scene itself or because you want to see the Mountain finally taken out? To me, it won't be very satisfying like it would have when Oberyn should have killed him because now he's just a mindless meat-machine anyways.

To me, it won't be very satisfying like it would have when Oberyn should have killed him because now he's just a mindless meat-machine anyways. Many reasons: The animosity between Gregor and Sandor has been building for 5 books, I believe there will be some payoff. The trial by combat is going to happen and a Gregor/Sandor duel will have much more dramatic weight then Gregor/Lancel. I also believe the Faith is smart enough to pick a better fighter than Lancel who has been on his deathbed until recently. The parallels between Gregor and Sandor are there, in book 3 they both fought(and won) a Trial By Combat, and both "died" and went through a rebirth of sorts. Their paths are going to cross again. GRRM decided to keep Gregor around for a reason, he could have used any plot device knight but he's using Gregor, I believe, because of his relationship with the Hound. Sandor appeared on the Quiet Isle for a reason, Chekhov's Dog theory says that if a Clegane is spotted, it's just a matter of time before he is fucking shit up. It also fits the Valonqar theory. As for the conclusion, I don't know how things will play out. I think it's foolish to predict George's narrative in a simplistic "if X happens then Y has to happen" sort of way. After all, Tyrion lost his Trial by Combat but he's still alive. So if the Hound wins, Cersei might be executed, it'd be nice to see that actually happen this time, but there are plenty of ways she could get out of it. I don't know how it will end, all I know is that it's coming. The show is doing Zombie Gregor. The show is casting Septon Meribald. As far as I'm concerned, Cleganebowl is Confirmed. Now GET HYPE!

Awesome response - bravo! Ok - so after reading that, I can definitely get onboard with a couple of your points:
1. A lot of fans despise the franken-gregor theme and think it's too 'weird' like Lady Stoneheart. Yet we've seen undead Beric and that's ok, and undead army of the Others, and that's ok so I don't get the bias. I always assumed GRRM kept him in the story just to fulfill the role of Cersei's champion because no one else (living) would be willing to, not even her brother/lover! And to show how creepy Qyburn is too. It's generally agreed in the world of fantasy magic that necromancy is icky and taboo (evil).
2. " I think it's foolish to predict George's narrative in a simplistic "if X happens then Y has to happen" sort of way. After all, Tyrion lost his Trial by Combat but he's still alive." ... excellent point all around and I agree, if Tyrion can get out of execution, Cersei could definitely too depending on what the High Sparrow's endgame ends up being. I don't see the HS lasting that long to be honest, and religious crusades of that type are destined to fall.

I don't see the HS lasting that long to be honest, and religious crusades of that type are destined to fall. Ser Robert Strong is a strange concept but not too strange for ASOIAF. I'm interested to see more of how it plays out, we still don't know if he has a head under that helmet or not. The Mountain is probably my most hated character in the series, he was a monster long before he died of poison. Of all the atrocities that happen in the books I always get hung up on what happened to poor Elia and her children. The Mountain disfigured his own brother, an act that shaped Sandor profoundly. Rory does an excellent job playing Sandor as a man struggling to hide the pain underneath the surface. As for The Mountain? On the one hand, I kind of want to see Cersei go full blown Mad King and burn down King's Landing, on the other, it'd be nice to see somebody lose their Trial By Combat and actually be executed. People denying the Cleganebowl because of unlikely consequences are misguided, though, because anything can happen, it's up to George. I agree that the High Sparrow's reign will be short lived. It seems like all of these nasty characters: The Boltons, Littlefinger, the Faith are coming to power just in time for Winter to come and destroy them.

Well I can definitely understand why Gregor Clegane is your favorite character (since we've derailed the thread, haha.) - He's a very interesting character with a lot of conflict. He's also one of those you list when you realize there's absolutely no black and white in the series and all characters can be gray or lean one way or the other and have changes/transformations and redemptions. Rory has also done a fantastic job portraying him on the show and that's gone a long ways in gaining new Hound fandom. I just hate the idea of an Oberyn 2.0 type scene. Maybe they'll surprise us with the opposite happening because that would be far more interesting and Sandor as the Valonqar is also a great theory.

It's also worth noting that in a show that is killing characters off left and right, even characters still alive in the books, they left Sandor's fate ambiguous? Why? Cleganebowl. Get Hype, Rory's getting Hype.

Arya
I'm kind of surprised to realize it's Arya. I asked myself who do I admire most, who would I most want to be like, who do I want to "win", who should sit the throne, who is the best person, and I got all different answers. So then I asked myself, who would it hurt most to have die. It's Arya.

My favourite character is still Theon but if I'd have to say whose death would hurt me most -
Ser Jaime Lannister.
He propably dies though.
