i'm really excited for bran's storyline! Same. This is the first time I'm excited for his storyline. So we really need that trailer soon. i saw his teaser again, and its really good. Genuinely did a good job of teasing me last year we also had like a day on the set which was about the crew. I hope we get that again.

It wasn't a bad teaser, but it would have been cool to see some S6 footage at least from his storyline since he was absent for a season. They usually do something a little different for each year so maybe they could walk through a few set pieces and introduce the new characters.

If we do get the trailer this Sunday there should be instagram teasers on GoT account tomorrow. I don't think we get the trailer without any stupid, short teasers released before it

Well they sort of just dropped the first teaser unannounced so they might do that with the first trailer too. I still think we'll definitely get something the night Vinyl premieres, which is still a month away, but I would at least like some more real S6 footage until then. We've only got 3 seconds of Dany, Ramsay, Cersei, and Tommen and then I guess you could count Bran in EW too.

Given the delay and the usual time we got the trailers I'd assume we get the first trailer in two weeks time at the latest. They may drop another during Binyl premiere but with the way people are pissed off about Jon HBO would be wise to campaign the shit outta this as soon as they can. It's been very quiet - GG didn't give them shit, there is no new trailer, the hype is kinda fading - it may be the most popular show on Earth but it's 6th season so the novelty worn off. If I were them I'd drop a big marketing campaign but HBO was never wise in this department

It's weird how their marketing campaign is mediocre and yet the year ender was very well done. But I agree it's been unusually quiet and I know it's mid-January and filming is done, but they should really get on that. It could be GRRM's announcement that TWoW won't be out before S6 that might have made HBO a bit nervous so maybe they wanted to wait a little bit until the disappointment from that dies off.

They are really riding on the show's popularity - the posters have been atrocious for years and the only thing keeping them going was the fans generating the hype. That is just lazy. That first Bran teaser was better done than those bullshit Sight videos but still it's very little. I think they are expecting the fans to tune in but with the way the last season was written - Stannis fans are still angry, the rape controversy, Jon dying - they'd be fools not to put in more effort

I think they are expecting the fans to tune in but with the way the last season was written - Stannis fans are still angry, the rape controversy, Jon dying - they'd be fools not to put in more effort I thought the marketing for S4 wasn't that bad. We did have character posters, four trailers, etc so they're obviously capable, but now that they are moving ahead from the books it does seem like they're diving back a bit. They really could have taken advantage of Bran coming back to S6 and showed some glimpses of some of the flashbacks and visions that he'll see, but maybe they don't want to do that just yet. Yeah I'm sure there's a lot of people who are still disappointed with last season, but I think with the info and spoilers that we've discovered through filming it looks like the show will potentially make up for it. Not to say that there won't be some moments where book readers and even show watchers are completely outraged and furious, but I can't see S6 being a weak season. It's just a shame that there hasn't been much hype from a marketing standpoint leading up to it, unless HBO's strategy is to go very slow and then just keep building up until the premiere.

The way I see it they should be capitalizing on this whole 'we will finish the story before GRRM does' thing heavily. But we'll see tomorrow. Fingers crossed for trailer announcement because I'm dying for another LS hint that goes nowhere

The poster and teaser seemed to do quite a bit as far as creating a buzz goes. And the s3 trailer didn't come out until the February of that year as well (they debuted that on the Jimmy Kimmel show IIRC). But still I hope they give us more in the meantime. The Vines they did for s4 were good. Even if they're not meant as trailer-promotion, one or two of those every now and then couldn't hurt.

I dunno why this just occurred to me, but it still seems odd that Jorah wasn't present during the filming of the scene where Dany and Daario are leading the khalasar. Now I don't think that he would die that early on considering he has greyscale already and is taking Connington's role. So is it possible that he could be the one to go back to Volantis and negotiate for more ships to sail for Westeros because Dany also mentioned in S4 that Jorah fought for the Golden Company. I mean he already knows his way around Essos alone anyway.

Yeah I believe Iain Glen, Conleth Hill, Diana Rigg, and Alexander Siddig were all in Almeria at the same time too. And even Natalie Dormer said during Jimmy Kimmel that she filmed a lot in Spain so I'm pretty sure that besides Girona, they used Almeria for KL as well.

Hot damn, January is rough. They could at least give us some interviews like the Bran one from late December.
I still think we'll see a trailer this month, though.

Ahem, we are now 100 days from the end of S6 premiere here on the East Coast. We are out of the triple digits.
