music ep. 4: In episode 4 during Shireen/Stannis moment there is a lovely instrumental version of Shireen's song cannot wait for s5 ost I don't remember ever being this exited for a certain track on a soundtrack. It sounds so beautiful. If that's not on the S5 OST, I'm actually going to be heartbroken.

Loved this one last episode: Beautiful. Am I the only one who feels that this years soundtrack will outclass the earlier ones?

I also hope their release the Bolton theme in the official soundtrack this year. It's still a variation of this awesome track.

When Arya arrived in Braavos in E2, was that the standard The Children track, or was it a slight variation? It sounded a bit different to me, but maybe just because it was in the background, whereas usually it's deafening me through my earphones...

I'm really looking forward to the soundtrack.
I still hope they include "Oberyn's theme".

When Arya arrived in Braavos in E2, was that the standard The Children track, or was it a slight variation? It sounded a bit different to me, but maybe just because it was in the background, whereas usually it's deafening me through my earphones... I thought it was quite different actually. Some kind of theme for Braavos hopefully. I'm really looking forward to the soundtrack. I still hope they include "Oberyn's theme". There's so much Dorne in this season, it's a wonder if we won't get something like the "Oberyn's theme". By the way, the same theme or some variation played when Ellaria watches over the Water Gardens.

No love for Rains of Castamere? I do have love for "The Rains of Castamere". Of course. As a Lannister loyalist. Second place goes to "The Bear and the Maiden fair"´- the Irish Moutarde version. "The Bear and the Maiden Fair" blasting out at the conclusion of that episode did it for me. It almost jolted me out of my chair and it took me a moment to get over the shock, but I decided I loved it! Also think "The Rains of Castamere" has been very good, but it's been used so much that at some point I decided they were overdoing it. One that I really, really liked was the one following an episode where Shireen was introduced. I can't remember the name of the episode or the name of the song, but it was that riddle from her arc, the one the Fool used to say, set to music. Loved it!

I loved the "punk" version of the Bear and Maiden Fair.
The Rains of Castamere has been good in every version but I agree with izzue that it has been overused.
I liked the music of Robb returning from battle in episode 9 of season 1

I personally loved every version of the Rains of Castamere and I don't think they overused it. You're in luck, now that Tywin's dead, we won't be hearing that song again. Ah, you're talking about "It's always summer under the sea"? I loved the "punk" version of the Bear and Maiden Fair. The Rains of Castamere has been good in every version but I agree with izzue that it has been overused. I liked the music of Robb returning from battle in episode 9 of season 1 The Starks have a beautiful soundtrack. I love the fact that Ramin has composed completely different melodies for different factions. It's amazing.

I'm caught in a double/triple post tailspin, trying to get the superfluous ones deleted, but I'm just creating more - Ack! Please excuse all the extras that I can't delete.

There's just so, so much packed into the whole ASOIAF phenomenon, I forget things, and then it's almost like a whole new discovery when they resurface. Thanks again!

It's impossible to remember everything about Asoiaf!

Slynt's execution scene had some elements of "Pay the Iron price" (the track that played when Theon executed Rodrik and Robb executed Karstark). I have a feeling that we'll get the best soundtrack this season.
