Anyone here played Type-0 HD? I played it for like an hour, but to be honest, I didn't really like it.

That's disappointing. I still want to try it though. A demo would be nice.

I could literally spend hours just listening to Kreia, all her dialogue is written brilliantly and her voice actress is incredible. Kreia is what makes Kotor 2 better than Kotor 1 in my opinion, she's my favourite character in all of Star Wars.

I really have to upgrade to PS4 ASAP, but I'm a poor student. I still have some unplayed games for PS3 here, though. So gonna take care of them first, but next year's the year (probably for FFXV release).

I spend way too much money on video games ... My trophy list says that I own almost 200 games for PS3/PS4, but the vast majority of them I haven't played for more than 30 minutes. I played the FFXV demo and I honestly didn't enjoy it at all. The only reason to have PS4 right now is Bloodborne, imo.

Anyone here played Type-0 HD? I have. I'm of two minds re: whether or not I liked it. On one hand, if I was playing it on my PSP, I'd probably think it was awesome. On the other hand, I was playing it on my PS4 and expect so much more from my console games these days so was let down. But I did like it. The Episode Duscae demo, on the other hand, was dull as hell.

I'm so sad that Bethesda have wasted so much time on TESO instead of TESVI Just like EAxis and The Sims 4 instead of realising it's a lost cause and starting again with TS5.

Yay are you an oldschool sims fan? (I think that's something gamers keep in the closet in admitting) haha! I was really into modding TS2. TS3 was a little less enjoyable but had better features - just more 'pudding' looks... then after all this time .. TS4 is like the king of pudding...it's gross. I didn't even buy it. I stopped playing TS3 after their expansion packs started getting more and more money grabby. Still have a highly modded alien world I play from time to time.

Ummm it took them nearly seven years to release Fallout 4, so I do not pity Elder Scrolls fans But I agree, mmo versions of rpg's are awful. Just look at ToR. I remember when they were trying to make a Fallout mmo

I'm even one of those super lame people who writes legacy stories I have done for years, since, like, 2006? I agree with you, even though I have bought every EP available for TS2-4 so far. I loved (and still do) TS2. It is as close to perfection as any sims game has ever come. In terms of gameplay, I really liked TS3, excluding the hideous RPG-type collection things and pudding-face sims. Urgh those were horrid. But other than a few gripes here and there*, the basegame is pretty damn awesome. The problems for me started with the EPs. I don't really know how to explain it, but they just started to feel really, really empty? Even World Adventures felt empty and soulless, probably because the holiday destinations felt more like quests/missions than holidays (OMFG who's idea was that? fire them). The only ones to me that felt like proper expansion packs were Late Night, Seasons and, idk, Pets? The rest were pretty nothingy (University Life had the POTENTIAL to be awesome, but no they fucked it up, so) or just plain dumb (hello, Into the Future!). The only worthwhile features in Island Paradise were the OFB-lite parts. I had no real interest in scuba diving with the glitched merpeople. TS4, though. Holy fuck. What a mess. It's a shame, because I actually think they nailed the look of the sims (minus the hair, obvs) because they actually looked different from each other instead of an indistinguishable mush. But, like, I don't even know where to begin to describe this game. No open world, toddlers, CAS or story progression all for the sake of "emotions" which are just glorified moodlets. Babies stuck to their cribs, ridiculous looking baby bumps, sims not reacting to fire or death, ghosts that change colour (WTF happened to the colour-coding?), stupid fucking collection minigames, RIDICULOUS body shapes (hulk-beast or literally stick-thin? Neither plzkthx) and just generally awful style? Why are all the windows white? Why is it when you change their colour half of the window is still white? Why are the bannisters/stair rails/fences so fucking big? Why did EAxis think that developing TS4 primarily for mobile was a good idea? And why, when they realised that that was crazy, did they not just scrap what they had an start again instead of poorly adapting it to PC? .............you did ask, right?

I preferred it to 4, but I still haven't played 4 properly, didn't enjoy it when I tried it at a friends. The sims always take a step forward and then a step back, like most games. But 4 seems like a big step back.

Also: why are the lights so fucking dim? Why is the default colour for all lights that vomit-shade of yellow? Also I forgot the asterisk in my previous post so I'll put it here: *this is not including the terrible optimisation that causes all the lag, obvs.

.............you did ask, right? LOL! Yes I did! You're a far more dedicated simmer than me... I tried to do a random legacy story once on a blog and posted with the Mod-the-Sims random legacy crew but I lost interest at generation 3 ... I suck haha! I became more interested in modified weird Sims worlds like aliens, futuristic, post-apocalyptic. I built colonies and underground vaults like Fallout, etc etc... that occupied my years of farting around with it more than actually playing the game for any extensive period of time which again, I think I just don't have the attention span for doing. Once my founders are grandparents I promptly lose sight of playing it. I do admire all the great legacies you can find online. Some people put massive amounts of work into that! If you have stuff online, let me read it! PS: I agree with you on most of the TS3 EP criticisms other than the future one. I love it only because I love futuristic stuff so much I had to have all the stuff and plumbots. TS4 I can appreciate your rants but I don't own it. I'm happy just letting my Sim obsession go with TS3.

I've played quite a lot of Sims 3 back in the day, but I wouldn't call myself a fan of the franchise. Playing The Sims is always fun in the beginning, but it gets dull very fast, at least for me. Even with all the expansions, you still have to do the same daily routine over and over again and that gets kinda boring after a while. My favourite Sims 3 expansion pack is Generations, for one reason only: body hair. My characters always end up looking like total hipsters ...

I love looking at the family tree at around generation 6 and going back up to the generation 2 and 3 spares to see who their descendants are. If your early gen heirs bonk a lot, pretty much the entire neighbourhood can become filled with their descendants, which is really cool And wuuuuuuuuut, Into the Future was duuuuuuumb. And I think I will maintain the anonymity of my legacy stories for now ( )

As I said, I never got beyond gen. 3 in writing one (and I even love to write) ... so I admire your ability to play that long and write it out too. I just get really bored with the actual gameplay of Sims. I play it more like a Sims city builder I guess. Building houses and weird neighborhoods is fun to pass some time and my collection of custom content is absurdly huge. I can't bring myself to free up the space on my hard drive and get rid of it. Something like 50 gigs I think ... if I just had the patience to screenshot and write, I have some amazingly cool looking builds. Oh and yes, Into the Future had terrible gameplay features but again, I only wanted it for plumbots and futuristic furnishings and houses since I have a massive alien planet world I build on from time to time for fun.
