I think it could be Arya's hand because the setting does look like Braavos. I guess this scene comes after she has killed the waif. You know Maisie let that slip on Seth Meyers , she said something about the Waif was 'no more' or something like that. I kind of think that will not jib with Winds because The Waif has a completely different relationship to Arya. It seems Arya is breaking away from the FM on the show, where it seems likely she becomes a FM in the book, my hunch.

EPISODE 9
The Riverlands: The battle of Riverrun takes place. / Jaime goes to the woods. The North: Jon Stark, Davos, the Mormonts, the Hornwoods, Wun Wun, Tormund and the wildlings face Ramsay, the Boltons, the Karstarks and the Umbers in a major winter battle, a.k.a. Snowbowl or the Battle of Six Armies. / Ramsay displays six bodies upside down on Bolton crosses, burning during the battle. / The wildlings charge the men with Bolton shields. / Walls of dead bodies block the Stark loyalists. / Sansa and Littlefinger ride to the battlefield. / Sansa, Jon, Ramsay and Littlefinger have a heated interaction in the courtyard of Winterfell. Wun Wun breaks through the gates and the people inside fight him off. He is hit by an arrow. Meereen: The Dothraki march on the gates of Meereen. Drogon leads the way. / The Sons of the Harpy kill masters outside Meereen when something surprises them. / Tyrion, Dany, Missandei and Grey Worm meet with Razdal and two other masters. Drogon flies overhead. I'm just trying to figure out how the fuck this could all fit into 609 without the episode being at least 60 minutes long. If 40 minutes is dedicated to the North alone, which we can assume with the pre-gaming and then Snowbowl itself, that leaves 20 minutes for Meereen and Riverrun, which I guess is possible. It might be one of those things where 609 opens with a scene in the North and the rest of the first third is Riverrun and Meereen and then it dives right into Snowbowl.

Besides, I assume this is only the end of the battle of Riverrun (the flaming arrows stuff was from episode 7, I think), so it shouldn't take up too much time. Meereen could be a quick but awesome action sequence like Astapor in 304.

It's amazing to note that the whole Sack of Astapor (including Dany's amazing Valyrian speeches) was just six minutes long. A reminder of how you can make an epic, wonderful scene with little time.

How long was Hardhome? Seems like a lot packed into no that much time.

Sapochnik's episodes in S5 were the longest in running time, so I think it's very likely his episodes this around will be just as long if not longer since he also has the finale.

I really like Sapochnik's work, he has a real eye for action, like Neil Marshall. Wish he had of handled episode 9 last year , at Daznak's Pit, Nutter did fine but I think he didn't have as good an eye for the action choreography as Sapochnik does.

Nutter is at his best in the dramatic, tense, drive by acting moments, like the Red Wedding, the Walk of Shame and For The Watch. Those were very well directed scenes. He is not an action oriented director. Sapochnik, on the other hand, deliver for us one of the best action scenes ever put on TV. I'm not complaining about Nutter's take on Daznak's, it was fine, but I can't help to think that Sapochnik could have made a better job there.

Just to clarify, I will not be adding info from leaks to the OP. Otherwise I would be describing entire episodes and that defeats the point of the thread.

In terms of series regulars, this is what we know so far: archiechvyalthan , if I'm leaving anything out, I will update it.
