I can't imagine any of the cast saying "no" to an 8th season, should they go that route. Why? Cable money is notoriously crappy and I imagine a lot of the cast will be looking to take advantage of the platform the show has given them to move onto whatever. Not that I would expect many would object to working on the show for as long as possible, but I can see why some would want to quit before it gets to that stage.

It seems Carice isn't being quite as open on her social media this year. Because she's in Belfast at the moment but she never even posted about it like she has in previous years. http://instagr.am/p/5uBZw0wcE5 Run kid! Run!! Did I see some posting about Rory Mccann being spotted at an airport?

Did I see some posting about Rory Mccann Jerome Flynn being spotted at an airport? Where? I've seen nothing about either on twitter (though Flynn's return has already been confirmed by his CV). Knowing Rory of course, if he's back for s6 he'll probably just sail to Northern Ireland instead of flying.

If they're going to bring back Sandor via the gravedigger plot, I'll bet it wouldn't happen until late in the season so maybe his stuff would get delayed like others are for various reasons and the newly cast characters as well. Delays in those character castings would delay his return too.

No I'm sure they don't shoot in sequence but if they don't have casting done for the other roles that would be required for his story change / return then they would put it off wouldn't they? Especially if it doesn't even start in the first half of the season. I am guessing we're looking at a slow ramp-up of the Riverlands stories in Season 6 based on all the casting clues.

Oh sorry, I totally misunderstood you I thought you meant it would be delayed because he wasn't showing up until late-season, not because they were just flopping with casting his scene partners. Yeah, that could totally delay him.

Yeah, that could totally delay him. Well maybe it could be a little bit of both? "Well we don't have solid casting yet for the supporting roles and the story is happening later in the season so Rory isn't needed on set yet..." was more what I was thinking hehe.

Most of the unsullied don't know that a lot of book readers are expecting Rory back. Maybe GoT will manage ONE surprise. Poor Kit's cover is so blown.

I can't imagine they're getting paid terribly. Plus, GoT is the biggest thing a lot of these actors (at least the ones playing the kids) have done. And they love their characters. One more year won't kill them.

HBO money is not crappy - it's as big as it gets in the Hollywood world and really, if you get a hit like GoT that goes on year after year, you can potentially make bigger money than any single Blockbuster movie anyways.

Not wanting to do an eighth season just for money reasons would be very bad publicity for every actor. I think Peter, Kit, Emilia and co are aware of that. And I do believe that they have an interest in telling their respective character's whole story.

Not reaching an agreement with contract renegotiation is all they would say.

I honestly wouldn't mind if the eighth season was nothing but Lady Stoneheart and Cleganebowl.

Even though we could already assume that both Maisie and Sophie are in Belfast because of the instagram pictures they've taken together which I linked yesterday in the "Appreciating the Cast" thread. Here's further proof:

Would it be too sweet summer childish of me to hope that them filming at the same time means there's a slight chance of them sharing some scenes together late-season?
