I thought it would be a good idea to talk about the X-Men movies, the old ones and all the new ones that will arrive in the next few years.
I was a huge X-Men fan when I was a little girl, I loved the cartoons and the first movies (until I saw The Last Stand, which was a huge disappointment), even though I have to admit the characters don't act like their counterparts in the comics or the cartoons.
Of the original trilogy, X2 is my favorite, but I think First Class and DOFP are better films overall, and I can't wait to see Apocalypse and Deadpool. I think they are going to be great. I'm on the fence about Gambit, is obvious that Channing Tatum is a big fan of the character and is really excited about the project, but I'm not sure he has enough charisma for the character.
Oh and X-Men Origins Wolverine sucks balls.

Is it okay if I just post "SOPHIE" and don't vote until I've rewatched some of them?

I've never watched the cartoon series, but I've seen all the movies and I've read a few of the comics. I think X-Men 2, First Class and Days of Future Past were all outstanding movies, but my vote goes towards X-Men 2, because I love both Famke Janssen and Sir Ian McKellen, and I think they both had the most to work with in the second movie.

Love the X-Men so much! They're my favorite comic/superheroes by far. I fell in love with them from watching the amazing animated series as a kid, and they're basically what got me into comics.
My vote goes to DoFP. X2 is a close, close 2nd though.
I'd rank them as follows; DoFP>X2>X-Men>First Class>>The Wolverine>>>Wolverine Origins>>>>>Last Stand

That was me, and it was sincere. I enjoy the X-Men films, especially the movies directed by Singer, but they are bloated with characters that don't really serve a purpose. I liked The Wolverine because, by focusing on just one character, I got a lot more out of it through attachment to Logan. I also loved the Japanese setting and the more organic action scenes like the sword fight in the third act. They got great Japanese actors for the supporting characters and it's probably Jackman's best performance in the series.

I really liked the first 2/3 of The Wolverine, but the ending was a train wreck. They totally ruined the Silver Samurai, the Viper was pretty weak as far as X-Men villains go too. There's so many better ones they should have used. The X-Men have a fantastic rogues gallery. I also love the Chris Claremont/Frank Miller story of Logan in Japan, and didn't think the movie did it justice at all.

My favourite X-Men movie is First Class. Runner-up is X2. They are so much better than everything from the MCU (IMO).

My vote goes to DoFP. X2 is a close, close 2nd though. I'd rank them as follows; DoFP>X2>X-Men>First Class>>The Wolverine>>>Wolverine Origins>>>>>Last Stand YAY!! Another fan! I admit I'm a fan via the cartoons and the films, I've read a few comics, but not many (I know, I know on me). My personal ranking of the movies is this one: X2>DoFP>First Class>X-Men>The Wolverine>The Last Stand>Origins Wolverine X2 and DOFP are very close, but I prefer X2. Regarding the worst ones, the Last Stand is shit, yes, but nothing can be worse than Origins Wolverine, not only did they destroy Deadpool, they told the same story we had already seen in X2 (except X2 did it a thousand times better). The Last Stand ruined the Phoenix saga and the Cure story-lines by combining them when those stories deserved their own movie, but at least it was a new X-Men story. I do have to admit though, that I was excited when I heard First Class was going to be a reboot. I love the movies, but I'd like to see more of the original personality the characters have. Xavier, Magneto and Wolverine are ok, but the rest of the characters have a new personality (Iceman and Rogue for example) or are used as plot points and barely have any personality at all (Jean is just there to created conflict between Wolverine and Cyclops, and Wolverine is more of a team leader than Scott. And Kitty was just used to create conflict between Rogue and Iceman). I wanted to see if a reboot would mean a new version of the characters closer to their comics counterparts, but DoFP was an awesome movie so another part of me is glad they did a film with the old casting and the new one.

A few pics from the movie: Things I noted: Mystique's and Quicksilver's armor looks like the one Jennifer Lawrence wore on The Hunger Games. Apocalypse looks smaller than I thought he would be. I love Storm's mohawk

Lawrence's hair looks like when Bridget Jones' scarf fell off and it was windy.

It is a bit funny that they describe the kid from Tree of Life and Mud who's playing Cyclops as "this bad boy". I have trouble buying that. Or maybe I'm just jealous given his love interest in the movie... ( Yeah, I know, I'm pretty one-note these days )
