Yeah Winterfell is to bizarre for me to even properly comment on lmao. I thought one of the worst scenes was with Tyrion and the whore right before Jorah snatched him. I haven't goten that far yet. I just watched the first two episodes. But because I watched them back to back they are now one giant episode in my head. I need to to wait a bit before I watch the next two.

I I wanted to pay attention to any parallels that D&D had for Dany and Jon but I was so excited to watch the episodes I didn't pay much attention to that. The acting has been much better this season, I can tell already. BTw, what did you think of the election?

I'm loving everything I've seen so far! So far, I don't think there's anything that has been done wrong; even the made up story-lines seem very promising. Also, even though Theon hasn't had a single speaking scene so far (which I think makes sense), I think that the expressive material that he has been given was great, and he was able to convey so much emotion just from his face.
BTW, the House of Black & White is probably my favourite setting in terms of aesthetics the show has ever had- the entire building, from the exterior to what's inside, just looks so serene.
If I had to rank the storylines so far, I'd go:
1. The Wall (everything happening up there is just perfection) 2. Meereen 3. Winterfell 4. King's Landing 5. Brienne 6. Tyrion 7. Dorne (it's still pretty good so far though; we just haven't seen enough)

Not sure about Dorne there wasn't a lot to go on. Not liking the SS that much. Obara looks so tiny which just takes me right out of those scenes. Not sure about the accents they all seemed a bit samey so far and painting by numbers but that's probably mainly because it was such small screentime.
I loved love the Arya stuff, although Braavos seemed a bit sunny to me and more Mediterranean than I was expecting. I've always seen it more Amsterdam. Not much has really happened there yet though. Im wonderingg if the Waif will probably be a bit of an amalgamated presence to take over from brusco's daughters and the various women Arya meets as well as to the waif. She was a grown woman and quite mean in the beginning so not quite what I was expecting but we'll see where that goes. Maybe she'll start to teach Arya later on.

Thoughts on episode don't even know where to post it. im going crazy atm First off i've only watched episode 4. Second, all the things that were just...cringe/ewwww: The faith militant. just no. The sand snakes. OMG i didn't want to be right about them. but i was. ellaria being the bad person just doesn't suit her. the melisandre/ jon scene was so cringe. i hated how they had to make carice show her boobs?? like i get the feeling even she is perplexed about it. WOW was not expecting the Tommen/margery scenes. surprisingly soap-operish...The good scenes were Stannis/Shireen, Jon/Sam, Danaerys/Barry, Barry/Grey worm fighting, Bit iffy on the Sansa/LF conversation, i can see they are now potraying TWOW sansa so im glad grrm released that chapter. But i really effing hate that sansa doesn't know anything about ramsay! like wasn't she the most popular girl and knew all the gossip- like i'm sure she would know about the bastard of bolton. soooo cringe at the LF and sansa kiss. All in all this brief glimpse at the season has allowed me to get an idea of which storylines i will like and which ones i wont. I really enjoyed tyrion/jorah and cersei's council meeting as well as the north scenes and danaerys. Bummed Arya wasn't in ep 4. LOL I only picked thru the first three so far. I put my response in spoilers and then..see if the episode threads are the right place for us to go. I did, for the most part, skip Sansa herself in the first three epis, just cause I thought it might bother me. I, surprisingly didn't mind The Roose, although, I minded him in WF, LOL. I didn't watch Mance burn, didn't want to yet, LOL I did see some Arya in 2 and 3, and Jaqen has THE HAIR, I am happy, LOL I kept skipping around looking for parts I really wanted to see incase the epis disappeared. But, I can see epi 4 will be a bit of a trial. Anyway, going to see if as posted, the episode threads are the best place to talk. I will be off ummmmm looking at some saved stuff on my computer, LOL

@moiaf
I liked it but thought it was kinda sloppy how oh they're bout to vote between Alliser and the other guy but then at the last second Samwell speaks up :rolleyes: his speech was good though. Not sure I buy Jon getting all that support without Sams politicing either but it's just a nitpick really.

I caved and watched them all last night Haha, I am a weak reed, as Septon Utt would say, watched most of the first three I found (kept skipping around for parts I wanted, thinking they'd disappear, LOL) and have just now found the fourth. I'm giving it thought.

True about the politicking but overall, it had enough suspense for TV,I MHO Sam 's speach was good, he sold it. I also really ally liked how Shireen is teaching Gilly how to read. I just love that little girl.

Yeah Winterfell is to bizarre for me to even properly comment on lmao. I thought one of the worst scenes was with Tyrion and the whore right before Jorah snatched him. Yeah, when I saw that last night, I knew.....that the Tyrion whitewash cries would begin. I kinda can't blame people for it. I just started the beginning of four and WOW, I am LMAO at Jorah just throwing him around. Iain Glenn seems brimming with anger and must be having some fun. I only picked my way through WF as some of the stupidity of it is cringeworthy. Roose shines, but just because he can make something of it isn't enough for me. When we went to the shot of jealous Myranda in one episode, I moved on...............

Without getting too much into the details:
1. Meereen is Amazing - it's the most real and fleshed out arc they have. Emilia needs to stop doing the stunned-eye shit when she's on the ebony bench. 2. Brienne & Pod were great - except they should have been following the Arryn litter not... sitting down at an inn and running into them randomly. 3. Jaime and Bronn were pretty solid - my favorite moment was Jaime's hand blockage. 4. The Wall has it's Great, its Unnecessary, and its Failings. - They really dropped the ball on the line from Mel. "You know Nothing, JS" 5. Tyrion is what I pretty much expected. Solid - Illyrio's suffers from not having Illyrio. They should have just gone to Volantis straight up instead and fleshed that city out more. 4. King's Landing is fucked beyond belief. - Not just from a change aspect, but it's boring, and thrown together like it was reorganized and written by a squirrel with hayfever. It looks rushed like it had half of its scenes cut because they sucked, making it even worse. 5. Where is Winterfell? I kept looking for this storyline but I couldn't find it. I think I may have noticed a scene where there were some flayed bodies were being hanged and I caught a glimpse of Reek looking at them, but then it went away and I thought I might have been hallucinating. I'll keep my eyes peeled and hopefully Winterfell shows up at some point. 6. Anyone who complains about the Sandsnakes based on what they've actually seen so far is a terrible reviewer and should be euthanized. - They had half a scene where two of them were just background characters. They didn't have enough time yet to even present themselves in anyway let alone "B-Movie bad girls." 7. The execution of Littlefinger and Sansa so far ranges from some satisfactory to bad.
