Your wish might come to pass.  Disney is developing a live action Little Mermaid and honestly Sophie has the right look and would still be young enough to do it.  Sofia Coppola abandoned her version of the Little Mermaid when the studio casted Chloe Moretz over her choice of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman's daughter, so Disney got the rights back.    They sent Emma Watson for singing lessons for Beauty and Beast and they could do the same for Sophie.
