So, I realized that at least one of you is interested in film scores and soundtracks (for example Hans Zimmer) This topic has been created so that we can discuss our favorite tracks and composers. I'll start with my favorite composer: must be Hans Zimmer, even though he's starting to recycle his old tracks in the new movies. Here's my playlist where I have gathered all my favorite tracks!

I'm interested in music in general, because I'm also a hobby musician. ;o) Thanks for the nudge, mate! I'll post something more later.

I'd say 90% of what I listen to is something I heard in a movie or a trailer or TV series - www.lastfm.pl/user/lady_sati I used to listen to a lot of soundtracks nowadays I don't track them down and listen to something that happened to be in a movie I saw, I practically listen to Free Bird daily ever since I saw Kingsman. Gone Girl soundtrack is something i listen to frequently, as well as Mountains from Interstellar

Oh, this thread <3
My favourite score at the moment is from The Grand Budapest Hotel! Alexandre Desplat's work here was excellent and I'm glad it finally won him his (IMO long overdue) Oscar!
My love of a good score is not just limited to movies, though. Some video games (and TV e.g. GoT) have excellent scores. My all-time favourite video game score is from Final Fantasy X (which happens to be my all-time favourite game!)
This one is pretty loud and probably won't translate well out of context, but I love it.
So, uh, yeah *deflates*

Added the track Mr. Moustafa on my playlist. The others sounded a bit.. weird to me. I have to listen to them again some time! Skyrim's soundtrack is also wonderful Reminds me of GoT in some way. I don't know why, but this atm this must be my favorite track. Simply beautiful. Keep sending more!

weird? You hurt my heart, ser! And yes! The Skyrim score is fabulous! The main theme is pretty epic in itself: That track from Blood Diamond is gorgeous

I have a final fantasy track on my list already and most likely will add more! I found that the Mr. Moustafa is very similar than the Moonshine, it's also better and less "cheery". The main theme is epic, but what about the one when you enter Sovngarde?

Ooh, I'm fascinated by soundtracks. I'd even say I like them more than the usual band music most people listen to.
Few movies get my attention with their soundtracks. The last one who did was Interstellar with "No Time For Caution"
I think games have the best soundtracks, I could posts dozens now but I don't want to overload the thread just yet. Mass Effect and The Witcher have my favorite tracks, so I'll just post some of them for now.
Mass Effect:
The Witcher:

That Intersellar track was amazing! Added a few others to the playlist! Witcher ones were great!
I haven't even seen the movie, but this one hell of a track!
Ah, Hans Zimmer, another beautiful track!
some gaming soundtracks are truly awesome!

The Cloud Atlas score is DIVINE! I was heartbroken it didn't get an Oscar nomination And the Beasts of the Southern Wild score should have been nominated also. Thankfully, this gem lives on in Royal Bank of Scotland (and I think Clydesdale Bank also) adverts

My favorite score by far is from Last of the Mohicans. It's absolutely beautiful, and I will never get tired of it.
I also love the score from The Good the Bad and the Ugly.
And pretty much anything by John Williams too.

I loved the Cinderella (2015) film score. And the music selected for Guardians of the Galaxy was totally my jam.
I will forever be in love with the scores of the original Star Wars trilogy and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I had the opportunity to hear the LoTR score performed by an orchestra several years ago, absolutely beautiful. Forgot to add that I had my wedding party announced to the Imperial March theme. To honor my husband's undying love of everything Star Wars.

I may not be the biggest fan of Inception but TIME is just outstanding The track is truly phenomenal! A truly wonderful score. It's a shame that Hans Zimmer has started to repeat it in other films as well. Hopefully he won't overuse it. A dark, "depressed" version of Time. I like this a lot. Three tracks from the Gladiator (Honor him, Now we are free, Elysium). Very very beautiful, gotta love Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard.
