You purposely ignore the others because Bran is set up to be a major player......or does he suck too? Bran is not in the current season. Also - don't sass me. And stay on topic if it's not too much to ask.

Seriously I cannot believe how many people think this severed head is Brienne. Not only it doesn't much look like Brienne but where would it even be in the show? What does Stannis impales it and waves it at Sansa?

To me it doesn't look like Olyvar either. His eyes aren't protruding like that, the sharp cheekbones are missing and the hair leans to much to a strawberry blonde.

If LSH isn't in, I hope they just kill off Brienne. Her AFFC chapters tortured us, her season 5 plot tortures us. The last few episodes have given us a nice reprieve from her. But Brienne is now, along with Davos and Jon, the only person really worth rooting for, apart from Meereen team I think our opinions of good and bad may change when the White Walkers invade.

i think it does look like brienne, im usually really good at recognising faces. That said there are a few features that seem different, but it IS a severed head.
They also show a picture of Brienne and the Hound in that article, is that just a coincidence?
Anyways it might not even be for this season, could be prep for season 6!

Well if it is her head it isn't hard to imagine how it would en up on the walls of WF. She gets caught, Roose beheads her and puts her head on a spike on the walls.

Knowing what we know now, Brienne is the only other person in the North (that we know of) with a V-Steel blade and the skills to use it.

And Roose knows how to fight even if haven't seen it on screen, right? So I'd say Brienne is the only good person with a Valyrian steel blade.

Jon's a shabby swordsman? Hell no. I didn't include him because FTW and I still consider Brienne's and his story to be separate at this point. Edit: By separate I mean Stannis/Winterfell/Brienne is a storyline and CB/Wildlings/Others is another storyline. They're connected through Stannis and nothing else until now.

Ever the optimist (I keep telling myself surely the worst of the deaths are over now right? haha) I say: 1. Yara has a lot of conflict with Euron next season but actually remains a player and does not die. No clue for endgame 2. Sansa makes it out of Winterfell and next season struggles to hold it after the Boltons are taken out by Stannis. 3. Brienne survives and becomes part of team Winterfell to protect Sansa's claim as Wardeness of the North (for now). (There are completely valid arguments against all three of my guesses. They are not necessarily logical, just what I want to happen haha)

Doesn't look like it. I think she'd have been in the Previously On.
