It's going to take a monumental turnaround for him to snatch Konrad's wig here Really? I would've thought Jack had me beat for that one tbh. I forgot about Jack Either way, the wig snatch would have to be astronomical

It's ok, darling. Lady Stoneheart will be in season 6 and every single episode will be perfect and you'll be happy and win the Heartie for Biggest Show Apologist next year. It's going to take a monumental turnaround for him to snatch Konrad's wig here Weeeeell, Konrad and Jack are both the biggest show lovers, but they don't do much in order to defend the show... but if you look at my last posts, you'll see that I've been very apologetic lately. JK, I think Konrad has this one.

By the way, I think you are underestimating Basil post-LSH-reveal. I'm actually not sure if his little heart will be able to bear an actual Lady Stoneheart scene. But if he survives, he will be hyping the shit out of the show. Mark my words.

What a beautiful man. I am too tired and stressed out to catch up. I'm here for this. I am happy Jon Hamm FINALLY won. I think Dinklage really thought Jonathan Banks was going to win. Hence referencing him in his speech. Heck, I thought Jonathan Banks was going to win too. GRRM hates D&D about as much as he hates counting his money stacks. Not at all. He might disagree with some of the choices they make but he no more hates them then I hate my cats or counting money stacks that I wish I had. I may not have thought season 5 was the best season GoT had aired. But I'm happy they got their Best Drama Emmy. No matter what, GoT deserved to win one before it goes off the air.

That's hilarious. I love how they refer to Pedro as Oberyn.

I predict Game of Thrones gets the "Breaking Bad treatment" for Best Drama from now on. Breaking Bad was an excellent show that didn't start winning until S4 (Arguably, its weakest season, but still really fucking good) I bet Thrones goes on a winning streak now until it's finished, unless some other show has a Homeland like surge for one year only.

I agree to some extent, but I don't think S4 was Breaking Bad's weakest season. The Emmys just had too much love for Mad Men since it won 4 consecutive years. However, I think S6 of GoT could be one of the best based on what we know so far. Though it didn't really seem like the audience was that enthusiastic GoT won Best Drama, I think because they were expecting Mad Men to take the award.

Breaking Bad's "worst" season is still really amazing based on normal standards. But really, BB should've won the year before for S3, but everyone had a Homeland boner that year. I think you're right about the audience expecting Mad Men, and I'm not sure if many themselves watch GoT. They probably just heard all the SJWs crying about rape scenes and didn't focus on anything else.

I just looked this up so apparently the year Homeland won, Breaking Bad was nominated for Season 4 and two years earlier, Mad Men won while Breaking Bad was nominated for Season 3. This doesn't seem to make sense, but I guess since Season 4 premiered later in the year than Season 3, it wasn't nominated at all during the year that Mad Men won for the 4th consecutive time.
