Yeah, I know your arguments. I just disagree with almost all of them wholeheartedly. Still there really is no need to assume I'm bringing it down to one line when there are many, many, many problems I talked about. That line is just a good representation of what a turd I think the writing in this episode is.

No, I hate the writers. And writing is a big, big part of the show. Mother's Mercy is just the worst episode of the show to date

Yes, but I think I said in both of my posts that I know you are just using that line as a representation. I'm aware of that. I was just commenting on the fact that a lot of people (not you) always criticise that line, even when they liked the rest of the episode. I just think that the line is not a big deal to begin with (because of the aforementioned reasons).

I think Mother's Mercy is one of the best GoT episodes, actually. I particularly loved everything with Arya, Cersei and Jon. I thought Winterfell could have been a bit better, but I have no problem with Stannis dying. I struggled more with his scenes in 5x09, because they could have established and explained his dilemma a bit better. I think I already said this before, but I will never understand how people can read the books and think that Stannis is supposed to be some kind of hero or a good person, because IMO he really is not, not even in the books. I'm really sorry, Stannis-fans. I don't want to piss you off, because I like you guys, but that's what I took away from the books when I read the chapters revolving around Stannis. I have no doubt that he would kill his daughter if he deemed it necessary. I just didn't like how they explained it on the show. There should have been more. Besides that, I think he fulfilled his purpose as a character and his death scene in 5x10 was completely justified. By the way, Brienne killing him is not far-fetched at all. Just rewatch season 2. She vowed to kill Stannis one day. It was foreshadowed 3 seasons ago.

What a beautiful man. I hate him. It's a blinding irrational hatred. I won't watch the show because of it.

I actually hate those posters more than Lindaario. Because at least she/it didn't post much back on AFOIAF (it's hard to type with tentacles after all). But just how prolifically delusional those ravers are is fucking maddening. I think reading those threads is carcinogenic.

I'd kind of hoped that my idea that Elio and Linda were a confused iguana and a rabid camel would catch on...but I concede that this angle is much funnier.

The people of Westeros have actually deluded themselves into thinking GRRM hates the show? I'm sure he's dealing with his rageboner against the show by tearing up all the piles and piles of money it has made him.
