So I just finished the episode ... Why the hell are you doing this to me, Telltale? I've paused the game for twenty minutes, trying to decide which one of my two favourite characters should live. With a heavy heart I chose Asher, just because I felt Rodrik's sacrifice for his family at that particular moment was more appropriate from a narrative perspective. And what a great scene that was, Rodrik went out like a fucking hero. Screw the Whitehills, they're gonna pay so hard next episode. I loved the scenes between Rodrik and Elaena (and I can't say I didn't appreciate Rodrik's shirtlessness ). And also Talia is awesome, she's sort of like a mix between Arya and Sansa. I also killed the traitor because FUCK YOU ROYLAND! And I freaking love Asher so much. He's beautiful, he's cocky and funny, I just couldn't let him die, even though I love Rodrik as well. Some of the best scenes in all these episodes have been between Asher and Beskha. King's Landing was fun. I thought that, since we know Tyrion will be losing his trial, working for Cersei doesn't seem like such a bad idea. So I lied to Tyrion and although I was quite unsuccessful at getting anything ouf of him, I have no regrets. Gared's adventures beyond the Wall honestly bored me a little bit. Yeah, the scene with the wights was kinda cool, I guess, but I don't really care for any of these characters. Well, except Gared Tuttle and his beautiful resting emo face, he's trying so hard to be like Jon Snow. And I assume Cotter's sister Sylvi is also a secret Targ? Fuck, this episode really hurt a lot. I love this game so much, the characters are amazing and the writing is absolutely brilliant.

Why can't the episodes just be released on the same day for everyone?

Why can't the episodes just be released on the same day for everyone? Coding, commercialism, retail rights, update schedules... its complicated.

So was I really the first one here to play it? I look forward to read your guys' thoughts on the episode. For me, this was definitely the best one so far.

I've been avoiding this thread just in case there were spoilers, although I should have known you guys were too good to spoil anything really.
Anyway I'd heard about the problems with Telltale and their bugs and freezes, god knows there have been many problems with synching and stuttering on all of their games I've played, but this is the first time I've had a game-breaking one and it fucking sucks. Worst thing is their customer service is so understaffed that there's really no chance of getting a refund or any significant help.
So I'll probably pop back in here when I've given in and watched a playthrough instead, sucks that I won't get to experience it myself but there you go, I'm only getting what it seems like most Telltale customers have had before.

Great episode! It's hard to tell which is the best, because they've all been great. I chose to leave Asher behind as it made more sense to me. He took a bolt to the leg and he did his job that was to bring Rodrik an army. I also feel he doesn't have a lot of personal connection to the conflict against the Whitehills, while Rodrik's been in the front of it since episode 2. Killing Gryff and Ludd as Asher wouldn't be as satisfying as doing it as Rodrik, and his previous affair with Gwyn could ruin my plans to destroy their entire house. Asher's armor is also not as cool as Rodrik's Still, it was a very hard choice. I love Beskha and seeing her despair for Asher's sacrifice was a bit tough. The Beast was an awesome character as well and it was sad to lose him so soon. Royland was the traitor to me. Apparently, whoever you don't chose as your Sentinel becomes the traitor. My Rodrik is ruthless and unforgiving, so I chose to execute him. Well, two more months now until the finale, I guess. I was hoping for a teaser at the end, like in the previous episode, but unfortunately Telltale never does that for the final episodes. I wonder what season 2 could be about. There's no way they can keep using the Forresters for another season. Their war against the Whitehills will definitely be resolved in this finale, and there's not much left of their particular story they can explore after that. It would be cool if they tried to explore the past, but they wouldn't be able to use the actors from the show. If they keep within the timeline of the show, I hope they give us something in the Iron Islands after the Greyjoys return in S6.

Fuckin hell of course it ends with me having to decide which one of my two favorite characters to leave behind. I chose to have Asher have the epic death fucking A, hardest decision I've made in a tell tale game. Fuck you Duncan, I killed the fuck out of him

Loved it. that choice was awful, but in a story sense, incredible. I chose to save Rodrick, mainly because I thought he had more to do in a story sense. Also, for a guy who got beat to half death, Gryff looked suspiciously well. Also fuck Duncan. FUCK Duncan. FUCK DUNCAN!!! I found the Mira stuff pretty boring this time around, but Im sure sje gets it better in the finale. Asher was great, and I am so sad to see him go, but it was a hell of a way to go. Fuck the Whitehills though. The one thing I really regret is pissing off Talia. That will really come back to haunt me. Gareds encounter with blue eyed beauties was short but sweet, I enjoyed it and look forward to more next season. All in all, a solid episode. Typical penultimate GoT stuff. 8.5/10. KL was a little boring as I said. The writing was good, but the interactive stuff felt lacking. Now Mira is involved with Cersei though, I expect things will get a little more intense. The other stuff was great all round. I will miss Asher, but I look forward to the revenge phase, coming next series??? Maybe. But since its GoT, I doubt it.

I managed to get it to work in the end by deleting all save files, which meant I had to go in with a bunch of randomised choices, which made so much of the dialogue meaningless for my playthrough and made one of the big moments hit less hard. Annoying. Still that ending was brutal, as I should have expected. Didn't even think about the fact that this was the penultimate episode, of course they make it the biggest decision of all. Spared Rodrik for many of the same reasons people have given. But man I don't know how they're going to follow this up.

Did you guys know about this? Unfortunately, it's very disappointing Damnit! You got my hopes up! Anyway, I let Asher die, even though it makes more narrative sense for Rodrik to be the one to die. A shame really since I enjoyed them both, but Rodrik had just had a little bit over his brother. Alliser Royland was my traitor, and I spared him (although I'm told it makes no difference as Rodrik and co meet Asher regardless) And as Stannis'GhostForKing299al said, Gryff looked pretty well (and smug) despite being half-blinded by the blood from his own eyes. I imagine this is the sort of frustration and sadness the Unsullied feel when they watch the show. Did anyone else notice the Robb-Jon-style death for Rodrik/Asher? Shot by crossbow bolts then also stabbed in the chest with daggers. Also, poor Arthur
