I think she HAS to return to the Wall, especially if Jon gets stabs. Maybe Davos chases her off I agree that Mel will return to the Wall, but why does Jon's stabbing need her there? We don't even know if he dies. I like to think he just gets stabbed.

If he only gets stabbed, and the show leaves his fate up in the air and ends the season on a cliffhanger. Then I suppose she doesn't need to be there exactly at that moment.

I think his fate from the stabbing will be handled before the end of the season or skipped until early season 6. The showrunners won't be able to hide Kit's role in season 6 if he's resurrected unless he makes a cameo at the end of season 6. Unless he's actually dead.

This reminds me of the second LotR-movie's trailer. I was so young that I didn't see it then, but I saw it few years ago from Youtube. That fucking trailer reveals that Gandalf is alive and shows pretty much all of his deeds in the movie. Actually the trailer reveals everything what happens in the movie.

Maybe, but the scenes have been cut before You honestly don't think they absolutely need Mel back at the Wall for when Jon gets stabbed? I'm not sure how they would be able to do it any other way. Yes, honestly. How shocking. Targaryen blood. Magic.
Melisandre is kinda a joke who cannot do all that much. Unless she knows how to resurect people just by touching Beric

I think Mel will be there to save/resurrect Jon, they made her meet with Thoros just so she would know he had brought Dondarrion back several times, that scene screamed foreshadowing to me

These are good points and makes me hopeful they won't leave Jon's fate hanging as a season finale cliffhanger that will just drive everyone over the edge mad. It will be spoiled as soon as they do that, guaranteed. HBO doesn't have a good track record this season on keeping things under wraps (they could take some lessons from TWD producers!) so I'm not confident they're going to be able to keep Season 6 surprises much of a surprise, especially with one of the iconic fan favorites like Jon Snow. Also - yay for your avatar, another one for the Dire wolf team!

Kneel next to the corpse, take out her breasts and hope for the best?

This idea has been very popular on the NeoGAF book thread lately:

I guess she will do the same. Unless you prefer the Stannis dies and Mel kills Shireen theory...

Thoros said on the show that he didn't really know what he was doing when he started being able to resurrect others, it just started happening so he went with it. R'hollor works through you and all that shit.

I know, I was just joking, I don't think Stannis is going to die this season, but I do believe that Mel will be the one who brings Jon back after he's stabbed or at least that she will have a part saving him.

Melisandre is kinda a joke who cannot do all that much. Unless she knows how to resurect people just by touching Beric I agree with this. I don't see why people think Melisandre is necessary when she's never even shown an ability for healing....let along bringing someone back from the dead. Jon has 'power within him'...why isn't that enough to save him?

I always wondered how Melisandre was going to pull it off since she never even knew Red Priests were resurrecting people until she met Thoros. How does the reader know she has the power to do it? We don't, that's the thing - so all these years we've just speculated that it's going to be Mel who brings back Jon... but maybe it's something else entirely that does it. Fire is just one part of the song.
