If GoT comes back in April, I would assume that Vinyl or Westworld is taking the January - March spot and maybe the other could take August - October depending on what happens with True Detective and The Leftovers. |

I think they'd want to pair Westworld with GoT, so maybe Westworld in June after the Season 6 finale? I have a feeling either True Detective or The Leftovers won't get a third season. Vinyl in Januray/February, GoT in April, Westworld June, The Leftovers/True Detective September/October. |

They've been shooting Westworld for a while already so it's doubtful that they'd wait until the Spring to air it. It was originally supposed to premiere in 2015 so it probably stands to reason that it gets the January slot after Girls/Togetherness.
Silicon Valley and Veep air behind GoT for a good reason. They both do very well and as has been proven in the past, having lighter fare after such a heavy and immersive show like GoT is the right combo. It is very hard for an audience to hop right into another big drama right after the zeitgeist show has aired. HBO will want to give Westworld its own seasonal slot so that it gets its own conversation and isn't overshadowed by GoT hype.
I don't know what this means for Vinyl though because they really needed at least one of those shows to premiere this fall and they took longer to get through production then originally anticipated. Maybe it will get delayed until Summer 2016 since they seem to just be ramping up production on it now.

When I watched the premiere on the Leftovers on demand, they showed the trailer for Vinyl and it said it's going to premiere in January.

Now the big question is do they slot Westworld with Vinyl, or in the Spring with Thrones, or the Summer with TD (if it comes back)? |

The Spring had Silicon Valley and Veep right after Thrones last year so I think they'll stick with the same schedule. I'm going to guess the Summer for Westworld only because they usually don't pair dramas back to back. |
