If Tyrion doesn't even attempt to argue/talk back to her, I'll be disappointed that he's fallen for Saint Daenerys I agree. Barristan and Jorah came to her because of their own free will and were kind of smitten by her. Dany has to convince Tyrion, especially since she's failing pretty bad at ruling. I really look forward to Tyrion telling her that she knows literally nothing of Westeros. Agreed. I'm also hoping that Dany tells Tyrion to stop being a mopy self-destructive git. He needs a motivational speech.

At least I can't see him dwelling on self-pity and being all messed up for killing his father.

Hmm, I guess that does apply more to book Tyrion. But he's been in survival mode for the past few episodes, I wouldn't be surprised if he still hates himself. I do think Tyrion needs a purpose though, and that Dany can give him one. They can help each other.

I suppose Dany and Tyrion will recognise each others flaws and then decide to work together, because the one has got what the other one has not.

I can't imagine Tyrion getting that wheel speech and NOT pointing out that she's part of the wheel herself. Even though he is her prisoner and probably won't be as frank. I can't see him saying nothing.

Book Tyrion was far more self destructive and rude than show Tyrion, I agree. They never played up how awful he was while staying at Illyrio's, etc. I'm just glad he doesn't say "Where do whores go?" every 10 minutes - that got tiresome in the book. His journey with Griff and co. was where he started to feel more alive again so I think they transferred that into his trip with Jorah in the boat. He realizes he has something to live for and kind of snaps out of it by the time they get captured by the slavers. He realizes he very much still wants to live (after nearly drowning to stone men) and fights for his freedom to get to Jorah and Dany. All that being said, I expect there to be a little ruffling of feathers when he first gets to know Daenerys. I'm looking forward to it. We must not forget that even though Tyrion is renowned for his snarkiness, he's also quite good at charm and wit so he understands when he needs to lay it on thick or not. Dany has never met someone like him. All of her advisors thus far have been very gentle about their 'advice' (whether good or bad) so Tyrion will be the first to really give her the honesty she needs to get out of the mess she's in. The "wheel" speech is all about her arrogance thinking she can destroy it. I agree with others that Tyrion is going to teach her that she's just a spoke in that wheel ...for now. The only thing that's really going to break the wheel is winter.

Maybe someone meek like Missandei can lean over one day and say: "Your Grace, isn't it quite cold and getting colder by the day over there in Westeros? Perhaps we should be getting some warm coats for our unsullied..." cut to Missandei buttoning up a parka on Grey Worm and kissing him for luck! But seriously, all jokes aside ... it will be the wall that changes Dany's attitude, in more ways than one.

Someone creative needs to photoshop that pronto for our funnies library!

I demand that we refer to him as the 13th Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, Commander of the Nightfort, Lord Brandon of House Stark.

Do you think NK-LC-Bran will take part in the action, or will he just be on the cliff watching the wights and other WW fighting.

I hope not. I'll be avoiding the internet like it's a plague in that case.
