I'm rewatching before it airs in the UK tomorrow, and really struggling to see how any of the lords can buy into Cersei's spiel about Dany. You can hardly call someone a ruthless monster when you wiped out your Daughter-in-law and her family and a good portion of the nobles in KL. Hoping it's addressed next week why anyone would follow Cersei.
edit: in Theon's defence, there's no way he could have saved Asha anyway. Euron had a damn knife to her throat, she was dead if he tried to save her

That they're either so afraid of what she's done that they wouldn't dare resist or they're just there out of loyalty (seeing as how most of the lords appear to be from the Westerlands). I think they addressed it well enough with Jaime's chat to Randyll. He answered Cersei's summons out of loyalty to the crown, regardless of what she'd done. Besides, the Mad King did tons of horrible things and there were still plenty lords willing to support him, even Randyll Tarly himself. Aerys killed five northern lords and four of their sons, including two Starks, and he still had the Reach and Dorne behind him. I don't really see how this is too different from that. |

They're a) afraid of her b) going along with her bc they want something from her c) don't want Dany in charge so they stick with her d) loyal to the crown above all else e) don't give a fuck about the high sparrow
