Yes! The ending of that show was perfect.
Actually having Jimmy learn a lesson was much better than just killing him off or letting him run away.
I think it ties BCS and BB together really well. Give breaking bad a watch. You won't regret it.
it wasn't even real if redemption if he still put on a show and manipulated everyone and kim scammed her way into the prison visit or he should've gotten away with it til the end and fuck kim for ratting even tho he dared her to or it should have gone full dark with saul getting killed in prison.
from what i can tell having watched only this half of the brbaverse, it is neither a straight morality play where all sins are equal whether the lies hurt nobody or ruin a man's career, nor it is some grimdark edgy for edgy's sake shit where evil always win and everything is 100% suffering.yeah, i started brba last night with the first 3 eps.
I think the idea of him at least killing off Saul and facing some form of justice was the best we were gonna get, and also contrasts well with the end of Breaking Bad and El Camino. I think the ending isn't as climactic as the ending of Breaking Bad, but it's a different show, narrative wise and thematically. It makes sense to end on a court scene.
Also, the shit with Kim was kind of under handed, but he wanted her to be there, I guess. I still think he probably did initially intend on fucking her over, but that ultimately decided not to, and just to let Saul die.
I think the Walter White scene kind of summed it up. The Mike scene at the start of the episode too. The bit when theyre talking about regrets and Walt is shocked that Jimmy has "always been like this." The Chuck scene had a bit of that same energy too. The idea of Jimmy recognising his own faults and accepting responsibility for them, definitely felt rewarding. There were more than a few moments in this show when I really hated Jimmy for some of the things he did. IMO it's the best resolution for his character.

Not gonna say how any of the others end, but they're both good. And I think in perspective, they all tie together quite nicely.
Good luck with Breaking Bad! I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
