Another interesting connection between BioShock and Buffy: one of the first potential slayers we meet in S7, Annabelle (the one who ran away and fell victim to the super vampire) was played by Courtnee Draper, who is the voice actress of Elizabeth. There is a scene in BioShock Infinite early in the game where a character mistakes Elizabeth for her friend and calls her Annabelle. I wonder if that's a subtle reference to her role in Buffy, or if it's just a coincidence. Anyway, Elizabeth is one of my favourite characters in all of fiction. She's amazing, I love her so much.   And this is a beautiful tribute video.  |

By the way, Witchy, my Buffy DVDs arrived this morning, so I'm thinking about starting my re-watch tomorrow. I'm not sure yet if I'm gonna watch every single season 1 episode though, I'm probably gonna skip some, for example the one with the giant virgin boys eating praying mantis. |

Today is Buffy's 20th anniversary!! Happy Anniversary, best show of all time. I heard an interview about this on NPR today, and for some reason it made me so nostalgic I started bawling. So I was driving down the road crying and laughing at the clips they played of Buffy being Buffy. One thing struck me as odd. They called her pint-size. She's not pint-size. She's exactly the same height and weight as me. She's small, but pint-sized!?!  |

I've never cried harder during a movie or a TV show than the first time I watched "The Gift". I was around 11 or 12 at the time, I remember my mum trying to calm me down ... "Be brave. Live. For me."

That was grade A writing and acting in that episode, as good as anything in a film. I bawled as well.  |
