Season 2 of Daredevil is shockingly worse than the first. Like I’m surprised how bad it is. I’m in episode 6 and who the fuck is the villain. Elektra suuuuuucks. I’m so sick of the fight scenes. It’s barely a TV show and more of a bunch of fake fighting with two minute scenes in between. No focus on the characters. That’s what I loved about Jessica Jones. God this is awful.

Saw Solo again tonight and man I loved it even more the second time, it definitely requires multiple viewings in my opinion. There were sooooo many references for weirdos like me who absorb every single piece of information and I was so happy. My favorites were Teras Kasi, Aurra Sing, and the Lando Calrissian Adventure titles.
Enfys Nest needs to be huge. I loved the Cloud Riders.
L3 being part of the Falcon makes the scene with 3PO in ESB amazing.
Vos was such a great villain, it was so uncomfortable to see him be so pleasant knowing what he can do and has done.
I think Crimson Dawn is going to be a connecting thread through these next few anthology films. I can see Han, Chewie, and Lando showing up in the Boba Fett movie with Maul and Qi’ra playing minor roles and then possibly Kenobi showing the downfall of Crimson Dawn by his hands, though neither him or Maul realize the other is involved, and leads to Maul going to Malachor. The storytelling potential here is unreal. I think the anthologies are gonna be good at having those little references. The sequels are too busy trying to tell their own story (even if they're kinda winging it) in a separate era but the movies which are set inbetween instalments can easily throw in some obscure details. I especially liked the Aurra Sing reference and the connection to 3PO's throwaway line in ESB.
Although I didn't think Vos was a particularly engaging character, I did really enjoy Bettany's performance. He really had my attention whenever he was onscreen, much like Glover.
As for the future, I could see some kind of conflict between Jabba and Maul be the backdrop for the Fett movie, which could then easily include other bounty hunters to make it more interesting than Fett alone. Also they've already hinted in Rebels that Maul has not only met but fought Darth Vader, so that could also be a future possibility.
Personally I'd be fine with anything so long as they try to surprise me. The biggest thing Solo had going against it (to me) was that I knew roughly how it would go, or that parts would be pretty predictable. For instance I thought it might have been along the lines of: "Han meets mentor - Han reunited with lover - mentor maybe bad - lover maybe bad - mentor is bad - lover not bad" which is very close to how it ended up. I had other smaller problems but that was the main thing which bothered me.
I'll probably see it again, but if I now know what happens I might not be as bothered by that.
I can understand some of the complaints about the film being predictable because I mean it was, but it doesn’t really bother me because every act of it was fun and engaging! Battle on Mimban and the Beast was beautiful looking and intense, train heist was cinematic as fuck, liberation on Kessel was chaotic fun, Kessel Run was fucking iconic, and Savareen stand-off was tense and had so much heart even though it was a little obvious what was happening. And I love love LOVE that Han’s jaded nature comes not from Qi’ra dying, but from Qi’ra LEAVING HIM BEHIND. Just perfectly moves the character closer towards who he is when we first meet him. I would definitely see it again if I were you. It’s very high in my rankings and I can’t wait to see it again with my friends who haven’t got to go yet.

Oh my god Jessica Jones is so good. I’m on episode 5 now, she’s such a great character. Matt Murdock is so fucking boring but Jessica has actual motivations and problems beyond uh oh I’m blind and nobody knows who I am.

After only watching two episodes, I already like Jessica Jones a million times more than Daredevil. Daredevil was just so boring to me.

Social media reactions to Solo are... Real fucking positive so far! I won't read any real reviews or anything, but it's good to see that people really liked it. I am so hyped.

Heads up, I’ve heard that one of the multiple Solo clips getting uploaded on Star Wars’ YouTube page is pretty spoilery. I’ve been avoiding them, except for the holochess one, so I don’t know which one it is but I recommend to ignore them all. Also the premiere is tonight, so watch out for spoilers.

You know what, Inhumans isn’t actually as bad as people made it sound. The effects and costume are pretty garbo, but I think a second season could be a lot better now that the characters are established. Just fix the shitty hair and the shitty dog.

Man the Framework episodes are so hard to watch on a TV during the day. The grayish color tone makes it impossible to see anything with any kind of glare on the screen. Agents of HYDRA is such a great idea though. The Framework episodes and the few leading up to them are my favourite episodes of the whole show, although a lot of the fourth season is very darkly-lit for whatever reason, especially the ghost rider stuff. I mean it was set in Los Angeles for crying out loud! They’re great but my favorite episodes to this point have been the fall of SHIELD in season one. That twist, I can’t remember the last time a show got me so hard.

Saw it again with my mom tonight. She fucking loves these movies. she laughed every single time Thor called Rocket “Rabbit” and it made me so happy We also brought my sister who has never seen a single Marvel movie but needed to get out of the house and she has a surprisingly good time. This was the same theater we tried to go to on opening night but the sound broke. They gave us free passes and we came back to use them tonight and the guy at the counter tried to tell us they couldn’t take them for 17 days because Disney. Luckily the manager who gave us the passes walked up behind him literally as soon as he said that and took care of it for us. Mother was about to lose her shit.

I think it will end with this season, but if Disney wants it to go I think they'll give it one more season to end when Avengers 4 comes out. Especially with Coulson coming back for Captain Marvel. And yeah, I would bet that Ant-Man and the Wasp will end with Cassie disintegrating. The post-credits could either be Tony coming to him or Carol Danvers coming to him to tease Captain Marvel. I doubt Hawkeye will be in Ant-Man since it seems like most of it will take place in the quantum realm, but it would be nice to see him come back before the next Avengers. Though I wouldn't be shocked if the opening scene of A4 is his family disintegrating and Carol or Natasha coming to him. Also at my theater today, I was sitting next to a black man who uttered under his breath "what the fuck" when T'Challa died I can't stop thinking about all those deaths man. Spidey's got me misty-eyed and Rocket's "no no no come on" to Groot got me As I said, I still don't know how caught up you are so I'm hesitant to say too much in case I give something away. But basically the latest episode has made me feel less certain about no kind of tie-in next week. I really have no idea what they'll do. The worst part about the deaths is everyone died peacefully, except Spider-man, because he already knew it was coming because of his spider sense! Even though I think those deaths will be undone, I'm pretty sure everyone who died before then - Loki, Gamora, Vision - is gone for good. More importantly though I DON'T KNOW IF KORG IS ALIVE OR DEAD I think Korg and Miek and Valkyrie got off! Pretty sure I heard something about an escape shuttle in the chatter at the beginning.
